A little disappointed this time. The restaurant was empty and service was lacking. The cheese bread had a sour taste this time. Octopus was amazing, trout dip was spectacular. My lobster with fettuccine was good but my wife’s spaghetti with clam sauce was lacking flavor

We were impressed with the food and presentation. The tomato sauce is incredible. The texture and breadcrumbs of the eggplant parm were perfect! We will make this our regular dinner night spot!

This is our fourth time here since opened. We love it and even brought some first timers. Just a couple of things, the rigatoni was not as spicy as usual, the chicken parmesan seemed a little small and $45 for corkage is a little high my feeling.

This was a very disappointing experience. I had very high hopes having often enjoyed this chef's other restaurants - Jame Enoteca in El Segundo, and Ospi in Venice. We had 2 of the caviar polenta bites, and the Octopus Appetizer, my date had the Branzino, and I had the Lobster roll. I know now that polenta and caviar is not a combination that I like. My companion enjoyed that so it must be my palate. There was nothing wrong with the flavors in the Octopus dish but the mushy texture was extremely off-putting. The Branzino was incredibly over-salted. Which I am assuming was to attempt to balance the sickly sweet lacquer on the fish. I found that dish to be unpleasant. The biggest issue I had was the $37 Lobster roll. It really felt like a joke to me. It was the size of an appetizer at best. Tiny. With a ludicrously small portion of lobster (some of which had not been fully shelled). The fries provided with the roll were coated in corn starch to get them crispy. There are much tastier and better ways to insure a crispy fry. Using corn starch is a cheap shortcut that I find distasteful. I don't mind paying high prices - it's Brentwood, I knew what I was getting into when I made the reservation. I do mind, however, getting little to no value for the money spent. Lastly, I would like to comment on the service. We tried to engage the server for thoughts and recommendations. It seemed that she was not new there, but really had nothing more than tepid thoughts and no really strong recommendations. Mostly it was a ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ , a "people seem to like it" kind of attitude. And we were there early. The place was filling up, but not yet slammed so we weren't unduly keeping her from her other tables. Unfortunate that this restaurant failed on so many levels. It was honestly shocking given my experiences at their sister-establishments. I would not return nor would I recommend.

Everything about our experience was amazing. From the food to the service. We are making plans to return very soon. Ambiance and decors were beautiful and good was casual yet very elevated. This is definitely a place that we will frequent often.

Jemma di Mare was a great spot for a night out in Brentwood! The food was great along with the wine, and the atmosphere was really nice! Our server was exceptional and attentive to our table's needs.

A bit noisy. The Mandili was very very good. I wish the staff told us when they were closing. No 3rd drink because we didn’t know the bar closed.

We love both of their sister properties Ospi and Jame, and Jemma di Mare did not disappoint. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and the service by Corey was exceptional. We got the Eggplant appetizer which is to die for (literally licking the plate) as well as the Beet & Burrata which was delicate & refreshing. For our entrees, we enjoyed the Spicy Rigatoni (always a fan favorite for its simple yet rich flavor), Lasagna (very light & decadent at the same time), and my personal favorite, the Linguine alla Vongole… I still haven’t tasted one as good as the one a had in Venice, Italy over 15yrs ago, but it was pretty close! My family and I loved every minute of our dining experience and recommend it to everyone!!

Always good service. A comfortable place to enjoy a meal among family and/or friends. Food is very good, always on point. Love the salads too. Meatballs are delicious and pastas are perfect. The Sunday gravy is yummy

Los Angeles boasts a plethora of choices for Italian cuisine, found on nearly every corner—ranging from excellent to mediocre, and some that you wouldn't revisit. Among these, Jemma di Mare stands out with unwavering consistency since its inception. Upon being seated, our server greeted us warmly, and we started with cocktails. Additionally, we brought a bottle of wine not listed on their menu. Our appetizer selection included Fritto Misto, Emmy’s Garlic Bread, Arugula & Avocado Salad, and Heirloom Focaccia. The Fritto Misto offered a delightful balance, complemented by two accompanying sauces. The Garlic Bread was fantastic, and the Heirloom Focaccia was a hit with my son. Opting for a change from our usual Kale Salad, we tried the Arugula and Avocado, which proved to be mouthwatering. Moving on to the main course, the Chicken Parmesan was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor. The Dry-Aged New York, ordered Medium Plus, was incredibly flavorful, though slightly more medium than expected. The Roasted Chicken allo Scarparirllo was juicy and bursting with flavor. And of course, we couldn't resist the Spicy Rigatoni, which was spot on. To conclude our meal, we indulged in the seasonal sundae—a true showstopper. Jemma di Mare has consistently delivered exceptional experiences, making it a reliable choice for those who appreciate good food and excellent service. In summary, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a consistently enjoyable dining experience. We look forward to returning, drawn back by the outstanding quality that has remained constant with each visit.

Jemma di Mare was an excellent place for my wife and I to celebrate our 40th anniversary! Thank you Jackson and Melissa for another great dining experience and another location! The staff were so very gracious, the food is delicious and the cocktails paired perfectly. This wasn’t our first time there and surely won’t be our last.

It took us a bit to be seated but they were super accommodating and aware of the issue. Very attentive staff, place was popping. The eggplant parm was out of this world, loved the spicy element. The Caesar was alright, Jon and Vinny’s is better. The pesto pasta was delicious but a bit hard to eat being sheets of pasta. Overall everything tasted amazing and oh don’t sleep on the fun and interactive spumoni!!! Portions are big here good for sharing plates.

I loved this place. Everything was outstanding from the moment we walked in the door. Our table was great. The waitress was great. The food was great and I will be back. If I were you, I would try the chicken Parmesan. Absolutely delicious.

Brussel sprouts were incredible delicious and the pasta was flavorful and delicious as well. Breading on the fish caused the fish to be a little dry. The ice cream was a nice refresher with the various sauces on top.

Lovely outdoor seating area. My dining partner had salmon which looked and he said tasted divine. I had the breaded fish which was very good - but the breading was heavier than expected. The side salad was terrific. I would visit again.

Great dinner.....The Kale salad was exceptional. I had the rigatoni plus two ala carte meatballs and my friend had the eggplant appetizer. All was very good. Service was very accommodating. Would certainly return.

what a fabulous restaurant! excellent professional service. my guest was slowly drinking his martini when he was about half through, he was bought a fresh chilled glass to pour the rest of his martini into. The octopus starter was amazing. Perfectly done! The squid ink pasta with rock shrimp was also wonderful. I would have preferred that the pasta sauce was less oily, and the rock shrimp cooked slightly less, but the flavor was terrific. my new favorite neighborhood restaurant! We will be back often.

Have enjoyed this restaurant a number of times. The following we all good: beet salad, rigatoni with creamed tomato sauce and side of meat balls. Service very good. They did a nice job in decorating the restaurant. Patio is a bit quieter than the main dining area. In kind (an app) helps make this restaurant a good value. Otherwise, it is pricey, but not out of line.

We enjoyed our experience at Jemma di Mare and will likely return. The only complaint I have was the additional fee added to both our bar and dinner tab of ~ 5%. While I understand costs have increased, this type of charge is distasteful (even if disclosed) and should instead be reflected in a slight increase in menu item costs. Our server was excellent and we really appreciated his attention to detail and his genuine interest in our visit to the restaurant.

Main drawback was we waited for server to first acknowledge us after being seated, as well as waiting for our table a bit even after reservation. After that things went relatively well, as we dined from Dinala menu and had meatballs, shrimp, chicken parm, and clam linguine. All were very well prepared and tasted good. We also had the key lime pie and that was the best.

Went for DineLA dinner (Oct 2023) for the lobster roll, but they were out by the time we went for 7:30 pm dinner reservation. Food very good, but a little noisy place, service good. Appreciate that they validate for parking underground to reduce cost.
