Jeffrey's Restaurant & Bar est une institution culinaire de Austin depuis 1975. En 2012, le restaurant a fermé ses portes pour une rénovation majeure et a rouvert sous la direction du groupe de restauration haut de gamme de Austin, McGuire Moorman Hospitality. Le restaurant, niché dans un quartier calme à l'ouest du centre-ville dispose d'un bar animé, de trois salles à manger et des menus sur lesquels figurent des steaks vieillis à sec, des classiques réinterprétés et des produits locaux. Une salle à manger privée, un service de voiturier gratuit et un service de location de voiture et chauffeur sont disponibles. Josephine House sert le dîner, le brunch, le « Happy Hour », le souper et le spécial steak-frites du lundi soir. Le chalet Clarksville dispose d'un petit bar en marbre pour le café ou un cocktail, des tables intimes dans la salle à manger, une terrasse à l'ombre et une pelouse pour se prélasser. Le chef Alex Manley et son équipe préparent un menu quotidien éclectique mettant en vedette les meilleurs produits locaux.

Jeffrey’s is proud to welcome winemaker Hugh Davies of the legendary Schramsberg Estate, home to one of the oldest vineyards in Napa, for an unparalleled dinner experience. Jacob Schram founded Schramsberg Estate in the 1800s, but it didn’t start building its reputation as America’s premiere sparkling wine producer until the Davies family purchased it in 1965. Hugh will lead an immersive, intimate tasting with Jeffrey’s Executive Chef Mark McCain’s indulgent 3-course dinner, including canapés and dessert. Menu highlights include Hamachi & Tuna Crudo, Brioche enrobed Halibut, and Mishima Reserve Strip Steak. If you are a sparkling wine lover (and who isn’t), this is an evening you won’t want to miss.

Always amazing. Incredibly expensive, but for a special occasion, totally worth it. Restaurant was PACKED on a Monday night so they are clearly doing something very right!

Jeffrey's never disappoints. The Bar is always super lively but not in a way that is loud or uncomfortable. The team has a knack for the little touches that make you feel special as a guest and I really appreciate that. The host team is always warm right when you walk in and the hospitality carries through the whole experience. Austin is fantastic and lead us to the Wine Room for a special bday dessert & dessert wine which I won't soon forget. Thank you Jeff's team - You're the best!!!!

We celebrated an anniversary at Jeffrey’s. This was our first visit there, and we are anxious to return. We enjoyed the crab beignets, pasta appetizer, halibut, New York strip & baked Alaska. Every dish was unique and delicious. The service and atmosphere were wonderful as well. The meal was a little pricey, but special. Planning a return reservation soon.

Service was amazing from the entire team. We were a little disappointed with the quality of the food. My New York strip cooked medium with Coke at the right temperature, but was extremely tough. My wife ordered the fish and it smelled and tasted extremely fishy. Thank you.

Very awesome experience. Staff was very accommodating and made our first anniversary very special. We will definitely be back. The steak, scallops, and broccolini was AMAZING. The staff was extremely kind, caring, and took those extra steps to make it an amazing dinner.

We have been to Jeffrey's several times to celebrate special occasions, but our most recent visit the service was lacking. The service was a little slower and less attentive than in the past. We ended up getting the bill for the table next to us & taking home another table's leftovers. I am hoping this is just a one-off situation because we have had nothing but excellent service every other time we have been to Jeffrey's.

I've been hearing for years and years how Jeffrey's is the best in town, and now that I've tried it, I concur. What a spectacular restaurant. The food was impeccable, presentations beautiful, service spot on, gorgeous decor. Heck, even the music and the temperature in the space were to my liking. Jeffrey's is a cut above the rest and worth every penny. I hope I am able to return often.

Absolutely impeccable service in every respect! This includes the host, the bar area, and the dining room. The food was amazing, with unique, exquisite flavors and top-quality ingredients. Everything was cooked perfectly. Thank you! I'd like to see a better wine list. The wines offered on the list are incredibly expensive and marked up 4X or more. There should be more selections between $180 and $400+. I have dined at the best restaurants in Austin for the past 20 years or so. Even people in the industry will talk about this wine list and how it only contains very expensive selections and is marked up extensively. Aside from this criticism, everything was amazing, including the atmosphere.

Hands down best restaurant group, MMH. Larry McGuire is the golden boy. His restaurant concepts are on fire- food, design, ambience. Watch out Thomas Keller. I’m going to vote on LM. Jeffrey’s is excellent. Fantastic special occasion/fine dining, with an Austin vibe. As good as it gets.

Celebrated our anniversary at Jeffrey’s. It was marvelous. Becca, our waitress, really knew the menu and could describe and compare elements of the dishes that helped us in making our selections. I had the snapper - light and tasty. My husband had the veal - he won! His was outstanding. Every dish was very flavorful. Had scallops as starter - excellent. Dessert was chocolate soufflé - the least favorite of our meal but still very good. All in all, a great meal.

Collin was an amazing server and had great suggestions making the meal even better than it would've been on its own! His assistant Carlos was great as well! Wonderful experience and will definitely be back!

In a word, sublime. Service was exceptional, the atmosphere and ambiance was fantastic, the cuisine was first rate, and the wine (with Som Cole’s help) was outstanding. Best restaurant in Austin without comparison.

It was underwhelming. Jeffrey's is so hyped up as an Austin institution that the bar is set high. From a service standpoint, staff were great. The food was just decent. It was dressed up as fine dining, but there was no complexity in any flavors - very straightforward flavors despite attempts at creative presentation/combos. This is Texas. There's no reason to have a subpar steak at any restaurant here that considers itself high end. The steak was resolutely mediocre. The whole experience ended up feeling disappointing because the restaurant has such a strong reputation. We didn't have a bad time, but wouldn't return. There are just too many better options. If you're celebrating something special and want the vibe, Lutie's is a better choice. If you dine out often, and if you've spent time in any decent steak restaurants in Houston, this will not really impress. Go for the vibe/decor/ambience, but don't expect to be wow'd by the food.

My husband took me to Jeffrey's for my birthday and the service and atmosphere were lovely, but I can't give it a 5 star rating. It was absolutely freezing and even though I had on a sweater I needed two napkins to help cover my feet. Also we knew that it was going to be a high end meal, but paying $14 for one deviled egg (2 halves) or $14 for 2 escargots seemed a little high. With 2 glasses of wine and dinner it was over $360, not sure if I would recommend this place for those reasons. The service was consistently good and professional.

Always a wonderful experience at Jeffrey’s. Exceptional start to finish. Small thing: they need to remove the we do not offer valet parking from website. Confused the heck out of a couple of my friends we recommended Jeffrey’s to.
