We don't take ourselves too seriously at Jax Fish House. Two things we do take seriously? The freshness and sustainability of our seafood. You know fresh fish when you see, smell, and taste it-and thanks to modern delivery technology, we bring in that freshy-fresh seven days a week. Sustainability is a little more complicated. Not all commercial fisheries are created equal. That's why we work closely with our suppliers and science-based organizations to ensure that every single thing we serve is responsibly sourced. We consider the stocks of the species we source to prevent overfishing and we work with suppliers who harvest in ways that have minimal impacts on marine environments.

I will NOT be coming back. I took my mom here for Mother's Day yesterday and was extremely embarrassed to have done so by the end of the night. The service was a D+ at best. I will give y'all the highlights: we were never brought or asked if we wanted water although all other tables had some. We ordered bread with our appetizers, AS SUGGESTED BY THE MENU, and received it almost 45 minutes later. My mom and I went ahead and finished our apps and waited for almost ten minutes for our table to be cleared. The server didn't know the menu very well, I was asked to point out the food I wanted...I had to ask for bread three times and when we finally got it after our entree's arrived our server said to us "Here. You got the last of the bread." Martini's were ordered initially and once finished we expected to be asked for another drink, we waited almost 20 minutes, put our drinks on the edge of the table, our server passed by a few times and didn't even notice...we had to flag down the bartender because our server was so inattentive. I ordered an entree with broth in it, implying that a spoon would be required to enjoy it...I had to ask to have a spoon brought to me. On that same note, the host asked us how our food was before our server did, in fact he never asked us how it was. The host also cleared our table because our server was so slow. Maybe he was too busy dealing with his poor attitude. The individual who I think was the manager, seemed so aloof. She spent most of her time standing around instead of engaging with customers. Had the manager done their job, the night might have been saved. Alas, saving the night was up to my mom and I. We kept joking that this was the server's first day and we tried to salvage what we could from the crappy night by laughing it off. I gave a 20% tip and after walking out I really wish I hadn't cause that was significantly more than the server deserved. $264.82 for one of the worst meal experiences I have ever had in CO Springs.

Enjoyed our meal. Our server Emily was the best ever. She was attentive, and a joy to meet. Thank you for accommodating our large party of 7. It felt like we were the only only family there. Loved our experience.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Colorado Springs. The service is always top notch and the food is delicious. I had the seafood chowder which was amazing!

First time at Jax and we loved it! We started with an oyster combo appetizer that was fabulous. Dinner was just as good as the appetizer and dessert was a fun take on key lime pie. Our server, John, was perfect. Waters were always filled, food came out with perfect timing and his table-side manner was fun. Great experience! Will definitely eat there again. What happened happened?

Oysters terrific. One dish (Ahi) terrific--the other poor (a few small pieces of lobster on dry pasta). Fairly neglected by waiter--nice guy, perhaps too many tables; he apologized later, and appreciated but expensive meal and a celebration for my wife and I. Had to order 2nd glass of wine 3x, also asked for ice for fizzy water 2x, never received it. Nearly $200 meal should be outstanding across the board. Not much fresh fish selection (out of scallops on a Saturday evening), wine list needs work. Have been to Jax in Denver before and it was outstanding across the board.

Menu was very different from ones I had viewed previously. Halibut was overcooked . Potatoes and asparagus side was burnt . Had to wait on replacement . Did not feel taken care of overall as guests .

On this visit, we enjoyed 3 dozen of the Crackerjack oysters- they tasted delicious, once you got past some errant shells in your mouth. We also had the deviled eggs and smoked salmon dip, both of which were very tasty. For our entrees, we had the gumbo, fish & chips, lobster roll and the NC Catfish (blackened). Everything was delicious, although the batter on the fish was entirely too thick for our liking. The biggest complaint was the service. Although we had reservations and were celebrating our daughter’s birthday, we either felt completely ignored or were left feeling rushed at the end of our meal. This was the first time that we were left not completely satisfied with our experience, so I think it might have just been an off night with our server.

Gave Jax another try because a friend really likes it so off we went. The combo oyster plate we got seemed very fresh and was good. They had a full menu going so everything was available. I had the Yellowfin Tuna and it was tasty and my companion had the Lobster roll which she demolished. Drinks were good but feel they are a little small with the giant ice cube in them making them look much larger than they are. I really wish they had an option for a surf and turf since they do have a steak on the menu but would like the option of adding some seafood to it. All in all a good visit and would recommend for the oysters if that’s your thing.

This is my second time to Jax for a birthday party dinner and it wasn’t nearly as good as my first. It was post valentines day and they were totally out of many many items which was not optimal. The management tried to make it right by giving us a couple of coupons for future visits but would have been better to have comped some drinks or something right there and then. Service was very very slow at the beginning till I finally said something. We had to wait for about 30 min between appetizers and putting our order in for food and it wasn’t like the place was jammed. The food is okay for what we had and what was available but feel the prices are a tad high for something’s like a dozen chargrilled oysters for 44 dollars. We were a table of 7 so got two of them just so everyone could have 2 or 3. That’s 88 bucks just in appetizers most of us got the scallops since that was one of the few things available and they were well cooked and delicious and the drinks were on point and well poured but still a little pricey. Some people got burgers since the seafood available wasn’t to their liking and one person got the ceaser salad. The burgers were not bad but but the ceaser salad was small for the 18 dollar price tag and a medium plate of fries was 8 dollars. We did also try the gumbo that tasted okay but seemed a little slimy in the mouthfeel and was over smoked in taste. Don’t know if I will go again from this experience as there are other places on the block that I have never had issue with given the price tag.

Absolutely amazing food!! We had the Calamari, mussels and caviar as an app. Perfect. East coast oysters, stunning. Shared a lobster roll and lobster Mac and cheese for dinner. Lovely. Service was impeccable. Wasn’t too loud, nice and relaxing evening. Definitely will be back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Awesome selection of excellent seafood - Ambiance is excellent, reasonable quiet and comfortable temperature. Wait staff is excellent and very friendly and helpful.

Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Calamari was delicious but portion a bit skimpy for three people. Mixed reviews on the chowder but lobster roll was great. Raw oysters seem to be the signature dish here but not really my fave. Prices are a bit steep. Would visit again.

We enjoyed their Monday all night happy hour which makes for a great value meal! The fried calamari were some of the best I've ever had and the pear and fennel salad was a perfect match. Our service was quick, professional and friendly. Kudos to the team - I'll be back!

Top notch place to dine in Colorado Springs. Chef Matt is superb and very friendly. Nick is a great server. Takes time to care for his customers.

Besides walking down a few blocks in January temps, the place was super easy to find. The service was quick and the waitress, Sarah, was able to explain everything. She gave great recommendations and even told us about availability through the different seasons. I will definitely go back.

We had dinner with some friends to celebrate the holiday season and the restaurant was the perfect place. We had gotten a recommendation from a mutual friend and we're glad we listened. The lobster roll was excellent!
