Ambience was nice and the food was good overall. It did it quite loud and difficult to hear later in the evening. I was also not a fan of having a third party bathroom attendant…kind of an invasion of privacy in a small bathroom.

Great food, great service, great ambience. Only negatives were seemed overpriced and too noisy for meaningful conversation.

Made reservations and didn’t receive a text to actually get a table until over 30 minutes after our reservation time. This is unacceptable. What’s the point of having a reservation in place? Also, the hostesses are NOT welcoming or friendly.

The food was overpriced and not seasoned. Location and ambiance was beautiful however

In the past two weeks I have visited Javier’s over three times and have had to wait over thirty minutes to be seated, even though my party made a reservation each time. The hostess is always extremely rude and unaccommodating. During my last experience, the manager went as far to tell me and my party to come a different day if we did not want to wait an extreme amount of time to be seated (even though we did have a reservation). Once seated, the waitress did not bother to ask if we’d like anything to drink and checked on our table maybe three times during our entire time dining. Two of the four guests in my party got their orders incorrectly placed by the waitress. I am a regular at Javier’s but will most certainly curb my dining experiences with them due to the awful customer service and hospitality displayed by their staff.

The food was good. That being said, I ordered the crab and shrimp enchiladas and the tomatillo sauce over powered the crab flavor. For $45 I'd like to taste the crab. Kind of disappointing.

Richard our server absolutely made our experience. He was friendly and full of smiles, attentive and quick with the chip refills (which became a running joke)! The atmosphere itself feels like a restaurant in Tulum, absolutely gorgeous.

Food was amazing here--we've been several times and the wait staff and food is outstanding. The hosts not so much. This time, I called to say we were in traffic and were delayed ~15 min. Guy on the phone said after 15 minutes, you may not be seated. I was polite and hung up. We arrived 14 minutes after our reservation, and the two guys and 1 woman at the front desk look irritated that we were late. I explained we called ahead. They decided to chat between themselves for ~5 min until I asked if there was an issue seating us. I felt like it was something kids in high school would do. We were finally seated (there were plenty of open tables. A plea to management--Javier's is a high end restaurant--please train your team to treat everyone with respect or we won't be returning.
