We have dined numerous times at the Boulder location and we love it. This location is not up to par. The quality of the sushi is just not great. It does not taste fresh. Much of it is tasteless, possibly too refrigerated. For the price especially, you expect good quality. We spent $400 for 4 people (we order freely and the real thing such as toro, uni etc). Our server was wonderful. She is the reason we gave the place 3 stars when it deserved 2.

I highly recommend this new sushi spot. This was my second time and I'm looking forward to my third time. The food was delicious, the atmosphere had a really cool vibe, and the service was exceptional. I wish I could remember our server's name because he was funny, attentive and helpful.

Great selection of sushi and other Japanese food. The bento ‘boxes’ were very fresh and tasty. Considering it is graduation weekend the staff really were ‘on’ and we had great service. Thanks team! Highly recommended.

It is such a fun and new place to Fort Collins. Unique flavors of sushi and high-quality fish. Great gluten-free menu options.

Fair not great sushi. I prefer to drive to Denver for a choice of great to extraordinary sushi.

Love the Japango in boulder, this location has the same great food but not the same vibe, too bright, too open, too sports barey vibe, string up the designer not the restaurant tho as the food is great, best sushi in foco! tho jaws has it beat in vibes…

Met some friends for sushi, saké, and catching up. Food and ambience were so engaging, we seriously ran over our allotted table time. Management was very courteous about it. Great menu, great saké list, and food was excellent. A few items seemed a bit pricey for Fort Collins’ demographic.

We have been long time regulars of japango, even after we moved to Loveland 2 years ago. We are so thrilled to have them closer now! Our favorite go-tos (gilded bee, Corazon, Himalayan aquaman- absolute perfect combo!) were spot on and we were delighted to find there were a couple new menu items unique to this location. The ambiance is gorgeous and the staff already seem like seasoned pros!

Definitely the best sushi in Fort Collins and possibly in Colorado. The service is outstanding very professional, yet friendly very helpful and making decisions as well.

This is going to be my new go to sushi spot. Food was delicious, ambience was welcoming and cool. The service was spectacular. We were celebrating a special occasion for my sister and they brought a delicious scoop of ice cream with chocolate truffles. No complaints, highly recommend!

The sushi was delicious. However, there are a lot of kinks to work out. Timing is a big one. We sat 30 mins before we got a drink. In fact, no one even came to the table for nearly 15. Our appetizer came out as we had our first sip but then another 30 plus minutes went by before we got our rolls. Our server was aware and apologetic, but her hands seemed somewhat tied. I was surprised to not see a manager walking the floor. Perhaps one was there, but we never noticed one and was never asked by anyone how anything was. Dessert was never offered. Lighting was so bright. Between that and the large TVs, the vibe seems to be somewhat conflicting. The restrooms (both men’s and women’s) had no paper towels or anything to dry your hands the whole night. Overall, yummy sushi and lots of options but a lot of training needs to be done, timing greatly needs to be addressed and just overall general hospitality needs to be considered.

Had a super dining experience at Japango. It was our first visit and our server Rose helped us with an orientation to the menu, offering suggestions based on our tastes. The menu is a little on the pricey side yet we enjoyed every bite and will definitely return again.

Unfortunately I was not a fan. It took an hour to get our cocktails, the food was mediocre and boring. Bland even. Maybe I will try it again in a couple months when they are more established?

The food was delicious, although there were a few kinks to be worked out in terms of communicating to me about a particular item I did not want to have in my course. Everything was presented very well, and the selection of teas was especially impressive. For having only been open for less than two weeks, everything was impressive. We will certainly be back.

So excited that this restaurant is now in Fort Collins. Everything was great and amazing. The noise was just a little bit loud especially since we sat next to the jellyfish tank.

Some things are better if they just stay in Boulder. Smaller sized plates for 3X the price. Nimo’s will be greatly missed.

I have been going to Japengo in Boulder for years. I live in Fort Collins and was so excited when I heard they were opening one up in Fort Collins. Best Sushi in town. Hands down!

We absolutely love Japango and were stoked to learn of this location opening here in Fort Collins. Fresh sushi is exactly what this town needed. The quality is top notch, the sashimi tastes amazing, melts in your mouth like butter, and the creative rolls using very little rice are delicious. There is so much flavor that soy sauce or wasabi isn’t needed unless you just prefer the taste. Our favorites are the Hamachi Jalapeño, the Himalayan Roll, the Cactus, and Kitsune’s Kiss. I love the Silverton Plume cocktail! Service and decor/ambience is excellent! We will eat here again soon and often!!!

I know it’s new to town but service needs to be figured out. I waited 30mins for a drink that I saw sitting at the bar … the waitress was too booked and it showed.

It took 20min to get our drinks, the appetizers came out before we even got our drinks and the edamame were cold. When we ordered more drinks to have with our dinner they came way after, the general manager did comp the sake at least. I know they are new but they for sure need to get their stuff together. They are also very expensive for the food, when there are much better options for less and better quality in Foco.

Nice remodel of the previous place, good food presentation. Nigiri was very good but the unagi was not crispy. Not broiled long enough The Gyoza and green tea crème brulee were also very good. California roll and miso soup were average, about what you would expect. Will definitely go back.

I was very impressed with my visit to Japango. I wasn’t sure that I liked sushi, but I was excited to try something different when I found out Japango had opened their doors to the Fort Collins community. Everything we got was absolutely delicious; turns out I do like sushi! The menu features a great selection of classic and craft sushi rolls, including a great selection of vegetarian rolls that are all hand rolled to order. As a vegetarian myself, my favorite things I was able to have tonight were the Crispy Brussel Sprouts, the Kabocha Tempura Roll (pumpkin), and the Loch Ness. The service requires patience, especially right now as they are first opening. The sushi takes a while, given that it is all hand rolled to order. Luckily, there is plenty to keep your distracted while you wait. Their drink menu is large, diverse, and delicious. They offer a great craft cocktail list, as well as a great number of non alcoholic beverages, teas, and sakes. The decor of this place is also very clean and elegant with a very open feeling. You can even watch the sushi chefs as they roll the sushi. Overall, I was very satisfied with my trip to Japango Fort Collins, and look forward to returning soon.

Amazing first experience. My guest and I were able to take our time to enjoy each course while sipping on our drinks. Manager Greg and our server Auguston were amazing and help guide us through a great evening. Looking forward to many more visits!!

Absolutely loved everything about our experience, the staff was welcoming and accommodating of the dietary consideration in our party and everything was so delicious! My favorites were the silver ton plume cocktail and the gilded bee roll. So excited to have this restaurant in town!
