Very poor service. Had bar seating, staff was more interested in texting and talking between each other than taking care of their customers. Received wrong pricing on alcohol purchase. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Mother’s Day brunch was a big disappointment. There were flies flying around much of the food items, the pork was dry and hard, the chicken cordon bleu was dry and hard. The salmon with sauce was cold. All the desserts were terrible, tasted as if they were frozen then left out for hours and did not taste fresh. The breads were average with no toaster. The buffet tables were spread apart too far around the restaurant, bar, and great room. The salads, shrimp cocktail, breakfast items, and service were good. Jake’s struggles with quality and consistency and it was too expensive for what was delivered.

Now that it’s off season, food service from the kitchen is hit or miss. My prime rib was fine but could tell it was ready well before my husband’s entree. He had lobster ravioli that was very small portion for $32 and tasted like what you get from frozen section of grocery store. He asked for green beans instead of asparagus. The beans came out 15 minutes after entree and were barely cooked. And he was charged extra $4. We probably won’t go back for dinner there until in the fall.

Taco Tuesday was great as usual. Kinzie, our waitress, was very attentive. the wait staff got our rolls to us promptly. Our wine was excellent.

We were a party of four on Date Night. 3 selected steak dinner, I selected the Chicken Piccata with a Cesar salad. In my experience, this dish is typically light and flavorful. This one was not. It was highly salted and dry. I have had many good meals at Jakes, this just was not one of them. Everyone else was very satisfied with the steaks. Shannon was an outstanding server. If you can, Id recommend you ask for seating in her area. She is knowledgeable, efficient and a very pleasant person dedicated to make your experience memorable.
