    I appreciate flexibility in food accompaniment. Fabulous server! Not quite like the old Jake’s but good.

    Great dependable service, excellent food, and comfortable well worn atmosphere. I dine often at Jake's and am never disappointed. It's the closest I have to a neighborhood bar/restaurant. Lunch I look forward to the steak frites or Cobb salad, happy hour a cold beer and their house burger, while dinner is always a chance to explore the dinner and wine menu. And ... there's a late night supper menu for those in the know.

    Great dinners for all of us. The two salmon dishes were delicious and the rockfish superb. Good value too!

    Date night to use a gift card! It was a nice evening to sit back & indulge in a vibrant restaurant. Our service was excellent - 5 stars to Katlyn! She was knowledgeable of the drinks and food! I would go back for the prime rib (again)!

    If you want a great Sunday Brunch, with $3 Mimosas--this is the place to go. Great food and service and the ambience of 'Old Portland'.

    We had an exceptional experience at Jake's. The food was cooked to perfection and was mouthwatering. Our server is the one who made the experience wonderful. We were there to celebrate my husband's birthday, and his adult children, who have busy lives, had conflicts with our reservation time. The server kindly let us stay well beyond our allotted time. I hope the tip I left compensated for her loss of potential customers.

    Bit disappointing tonight. We ordered several martinis with olives…apparently the bartender is saving $ as you get ONE olive per martini (usually we get 2-3). Next, my wife and I love French Onion Soup and Scallops…ordered both. The soup taste was very good but the paper thin layer of cheese was a big let down. Half the fun is the stringing cheese….not here…was like a thin slice of Kraft. Next came the scallops with potato/bacon/corn hash. At $45 I had expected some flavor. The scallops were large, cooked properly, but had NO flavor. There was no seasoning and it was if they were stored in a tank of plain water. Unfortunately, the “hash” was equally bland. For having bacon in it we at least expected some flavor from the salt there…pretty flat. The only good notes were our server was pleasant and the Meyer Lemon Cheesecake was very good.

    Aya was a great server! The food was amazing! The restaurant was clean and I had been looking forward to the butterscotch pudding for dessert. It lived up to the hype!! We will be coming back.

    I’ve been here before and it was great but Morhers Day was terrible service, long wait, drinks were mediocre at best. Would go back but not for an event that they clearly overbooked and were unable to provide proper service for the amount of guests.
