Jake's atop the Midnight Star is set in an elegant fine dining atmosphere complete with a skylight and stunning views of Deadwood. Offering seasonal menus that feature hand cut steaks, fresh seafood, and wild game. Start the night with an appetizer such as Escargot or one of Jake's specialty handcrafted cocktails. Pair your entree with a glass or bottle of wine from our ever-evolving wine list. Finish the evening with a house made Chef inspired dessert or after dinner drink. Whatever you choose will be fabulous as we only use the highest quality ingredients and create everything in house! Exceptional service will complete the ultimate dining experience in Deadwood.

Great food. Great staff. Elevator wasn't working at the time for anyone who needed it. The back area(kitchen?)near bathroom should be cleaned up. Not appealing prior to dinner.

Service was fantastic and the promptness of food was also great. The Demi glaze for steaks is very salty. The steak was slightly over done. For a steak restaurant we were not asked how they were cooked. The shrimp was amazing and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were dry and could tell they had been sitting for hours.

Another great experience at Jake’s. Had the pork chops! Delicious! Wait staff great! Michelle was awesome!

Took my wife for her birthday. Staff was wonderful. They could not have been better. The food was beautiful, unique and amazing. Everything and I mean everything was perfect. Thank you James we had the perfect evening.

We both enjoyed our appetizers and entrees. My husband had the escargot and I had the seated tuna. Entrees for my husband was trio of tenderloin which was venison, elk and bison . He loved them all! I had the filet mignon which was also very good. Janice was an excellent waitress!

The attractive setting lived up to the fine dining description but sadly nothing else did. The dining room is bright and nicely furnished. This was the best part of the evening. The service was painfully slow despite being early on a Tuesday when the dining room was almost empty. Cocktails were very slow and one of the two was not correct. Our server then explained that two popular menu items were not available. So we both ordered the Lamb Chops which were very tough and full of gristle. The meal was plated nicely but almost uneatable. The hostess/manager noticed we did not finish our meals and asked how was our dinner. When told the lamb was not good quality she said she and the chef were aware and almost took it off the menu. WHAT??? You knew the meat was poor quality but served it anyway? We were not interested in any compensation for the poor quality and none was offered. I would not recommend Jakes.

This is a great restaurant in a disappointing town. The service was excellent as was the food. I would definitely recommend Jake’s Fine Dining to everyone wanting a great meal.
