The first time my husband and I came to Jacoby’s was 2 years ago during our honeymoon in Austin. We had a great time the first time we came. Fast forward 2 years later, we moved to Austin 3 months ago and this was our first time back at Jacoby’s. We had the 16 oz. ribeye special which was cooked to perfection (very tender and seasoned well) and the delicious meatloaf. We had great service from Claire and the ambience was chill!

Booked brunch for a group and service basically ended at 2p end felt like we were getting nudged out. Chicken fried steak and waffles was very good

Love the menu with southern food. Our cinnamon roll was a 7/10. My kale Caesar was delicious; only complaint is the $10 up charge for chicken which made my Caesar salad effectively $28. Other complaint is that we sat on the porch and were constantly swarmed by flies. The restaurant should do some fly mitigation.

I guess my hopes were really high because this place had such good reviews, but the food was really just ok. I found it to be overpriced for the quality. The service was really good though and the ambiance was fine, I just wasn’t a huge fan of the food. For reference we had the deviled eggs, cinnamon roll, avocado toast, and crab cake hollandaise.

Loved the upscale southern menu and riverside location. Had the chicken fried steak and roasted chicken which were excellent. Drinks were creative and well done.

This was not a good experience and the food was definitely not worth the price we paid. Where do I start? Party of 7 for a birthday -1 waitress-Natalie -2 of 7 ordered 2 cocktails. Took Natalie 30 mins to come back to the table to say they didn't have the alcohol for the drink. New order placed. -3 1 person asked for a straw for their water glass. At the same time, another ordered a cocktail with a side of cream. 6 of 7 ordered dinner, no appetizers. 1 of 7 ordered a cocktail with side of cream. 1 asked for a straw for her water. -4 20 min later, cocktail arrived without the cream. No straw. Another 15 mins go by, no cream or straw. Asked for cream and straw. Cream arrived, no straw. Seriously? Had to ask again! Natalie brought 3 straws in a napkin, saying, " I brought extra in case you need more." We needed 1 straw 45 mins. Ago! -5 WE waited over an hour for 6 dishes. 2 chicken fried steaks, 1 steak en fries, 1 shrimp 'n grits, 1 chicken ceasar salad, 1 hoppin' John's w/ chicken.The Cesar salad came on a plate piled kale, dry, over cooked , pale, no seasoning chicken breast. NO DRESSING ON THE SALAD. It's a ceasar salad! Piles of kale kept falling all over the table. Hoppin' johns...AWFUL. Chicken was in the same condition as the kale salad. Cabbage had bizarre, awful flavor. I could not cut the Cabbage or the chicken. We asked for steak knives and they barely cut the chicken and couldn't even cut the Cabbage. It was loud and dark. Overpriced. I'm not sure if Natalie was new or what but it was an obvious struggle. She dropped silverware several times, including steak knives. Do not waste your time and definitely not your money. I have NEVER written a review like this but this was terrible.

Mother’s Day buffet: quality of food was not worth the price. The eggs were cold and tough, I asked if they can just do a fried egg and they wouldn’t. For the price, I would expect much higher quality food.

I made a Mother’s Day reservation. I didn’t realize it was a buffet. Maybe that’s my fault but I wouldn’t have made it if I knew it was a buffet. The price was $55 per person so very expensive and lots of the items were cold. I think it’s probably good on normal days where it’s a la carte but I’d steer clear on Mother’s Day.
