Set in a historic 19th-century Victorian, once-turned-local hospital. Now a vibrantly restored dining atmosphere, a wonderfully appointed Bed and Breakfast.

The Kirby Hotel & J. Paul's Dining Room features a fresh, bright menu with something for everyone's taste and price point. Carefully crafted cocktails, an array of award-winning wines, and a culinarily modern, yet classical take on food await your evening. Given multiple awards for its outstanding dining and service.

The staff and Chef LaBelle give a friendly and personable approach to your dining experience. Fresh Locally sourced products are used at their prime. The Prime-aged Prime Rib and Duck dishes are signatures, there are always fresh fish and seafood options as well as vegan and vegetarian options. We cater to all dietary needs.

In the summertime, we offer outdoor seating on our wrap-around porch or our beautifully landscaped back deck overlooking a large pond with a fountain with often-seen wildlife

Our Dining Room can fit up to 40 people and our large back deck can seat over 100. For a small, semi-private event, we can partition off part of our dining room for up to 20 people. I love everything about The Kirby. My friend and I sat on the patio last week for dinner and it was delightful. Service was perfect, drinks, appetizers, and entrees were fantastic. I go every chance I get.

Charming restaurant! Loved the setting in the historic home…food was delicious and service was great. We had the crab cake appetizer along with the salmon and scallop entrees…everything was prepared well and very flavorful. Dessert was our favorite part of the meal….had a wonderful cheesecake. If you are looking for somewhere a little more upscale for dinner Douglas, I highly recommend J. Paul’s.

We have been wanting to visit J. Paul's and it did not disappoint! Each of us thought our food was spectacular. We ate inside and loved the cozy atmosphere. Looking forward to returning this summer and enjoying the back deck.

Wonderfully attentive service in a light suffused dining room on the first floor of an older, architecturally interesting house. The lamb shank was delicious! Oh, and an innovative drink list.

The Kirby is a "Go To" for us. Always a great place to take anyone new to the area (which we had in tow) if you want to impress! The ambiance, food and service are always above reproach! Thanks for another great meal!
