J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    The pastrami butter and fresh bread was good, but the rest of the meal was downhill from there. Chewiest steaks we have ever had plus soaked the filet mignon in some sort of weird barbecue sauce.

    We had a reservation in the bar and had a great meal with wonderful service from Maggie. The food was very well prepared and Maggie's recommendations were right on.

    We love J. Gilbert’s! Always great food and wonderful service. High quality food and reasonable price. Also, the cake is the best ever and the slice is enormous! We were gathered to celebrate our daughter’s 30th birthday and she received a free dessert and hand-written card for her! Great place!

    Food was ok but not as good as what I was expecting. Service was slow. Our dinners were served before our wine came. For the price I expected more.

    My medium rare steak was served medium well. Disappointing. The waitress did offer to get me another one properly cooked, but it would’ve taken too long and wasted.

    A wonderful dinner with outstanding service by Mia. We were seated upstairs overlooking bar which is noisier than the regular dining room. All service requires a trip up and down the steps but Mia and helpers never missed a beat. Entrees were piping hot and perfectly delivered. We both had filets which were so tender and flavorful. Sides are favorites poblano au gatin potatoes and creamed corn. Terrific beginning to the night.

    We love the food at J Gilberts. Everything was delicious. Our server was quiet speaking so it was a little hard to hear with the music and other diners talking.
