J. Gilbert's is an "upscale casual" steakhouse serving prime-aged beef cooked over a mesquite wood-fired grill. Guests enjoy various cuts of steak, fresh seafood (including award-winning crab cakes) & other house made favorites like the Maytag Bleu potato chips & Chocolate Velvet Cake. The cozy atmosphere includes fire side dining, rich wood, brick & soft lighting where you can enjoy a quiet table or host a large party. The extensive martini & wine list offers the perfect compliment to an excellent meal delivered with attentive service. J. Gilbert's is open for dinner 7 days a week. Reservations are recommended.

    We have been customers at J Gilberts for some time… but last night was a special occasion celebrating my parents' 55th anniversary. Gina, our server, was outstanding. The restaurant is very lucky to have such an incredible employee who made our experience more than we could have imagined. Thank you to Gina and J Gilberts for a tremendous evening.

    Ashley was an amazing server who was attentive throughout the night. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was energetic, fun, and relaxed. Always an Omaha favorite.

    J. Gilbert's is always one of our favorite places to dine. Not only is the food always delicious, the service is impeccable. We also appreciate the unique selection of cocktails. If you note a special occasion in your reservation, they will always acknowledge it.

    Great place to have special occasion night out. Food was great, the steaks are about the best in Omaha, super think, seasoned just right and cooked to my spec. Service was great, you get to pick your own steak knife! The bacon cream corn was really delicious. Great location since we then walked across the street to the Steel House for a concert after we ate supper. Since it was my wife's birthday, she got a free desert and that was very nice. Reservations were easy to set up and no problems finding the time I wanted. Great overall experience.

    J Gilbert’s has become our go to spot for special occasions and the occasional splurge. Their food is among the best in Omaha and at a price that is below many of the high-end restaurants in the area. Service is always great, and the atmosphere is very inviting. I would highly recommend!

    We were celebrating our daughter’s college graduation.Dinner was fantastic and our server was excellent. We were seated in the backroom and had a great time.

    We had a group of four and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. (we all had steak). Our waiter, Corey, did a fantastic job. Highly recommend.
