Izakaya "Akatsuki," meaning “dawn” in Japanese, is a family-owned Japanese restaurant in Gardena, California. Our owner specializes in handcrafted Japanese noodles, Udon and Soba.

We serve freshly homemade Udon and Soba for lunch, along with a choice of delicious, fresh Sashimi bowls. In the evening, we transform into a Japanese Izakaya, offering small plate appetizers paired with our signature original cocktails and a wide selection of sake. Hot pots are also available during dinner time.

Whether you’re dining alone or with a group of 20, our private rooms and banquet room can accommodate all your needs. Please come and enjoy our modern, authentic and traditional Japanese menu!

Nice ambiance and good food. Busy place and service was ok. Good place to go to for something authentic or for a party, but not recommended if you want something classy

Highly recommend dining here. Flavorful, authentic, well-prepared dishes. Service can be a bit slow when they're slammed with customers, but overall, a must-try. We will definitely be back!

Been there for lunch several times and the food and service has been excellent. The Nabeyaki is delicious and their lunch specials are a great deal, especially the spicy tuna bowl.

Great casual restaurant with very relaxed atmosphere. We had a family gathering at one of their private rooms and had hotpots and a bunch of side dishes. We really enjoyed the dinner!

You can't go wrong with their udon. Beef katsu was tender. The salmon collar was delicious.i recommend this restaurant.
