Excellent food and great service. I have eaten in Istanbul numerous times, and the quality of food and service is consistently excellent. The outside tables are the best seating. Inside, it can be noisy.

We had our Mother's Day lunch at Istanbul. Food was amazing, both regular menu and Sunday brunch menu items. Waiter was very pleasant and helpful. We had a larger party of 8, but drinks and meals came out when ready, which we preferred. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Will definitely go again.

We had an amazing time! We were accommodated to moving our party from the bar to a table, which was so awesome. The food is always good, especially the appetizer platter.

My friend and I went for Mother's Day. We really enjoyed the experience. From the hostess to the servers, service was excellent. We really loved the food. Healthy anbd flavorful, just what two busy moms need.

Food was excellent as usual however, the service needs a little bit of improvement, the hostess was excellent but the server completely disappeared after taking our orders and didn’t even ask if we wanted dessert, we even had to ask our busser to get her as we were long done with our meal and wanted to look at the dessert menu, pretty disappointed at the speed of service today, from the time we sat till we actually left the restaurant was from 645 till 915pm!!

Very first time eating and celebrating my wife’s birthday at this beautiful establishment. This is as close as you can get to Mediterranean eating here on Oahu. Met both owners, mother and daughter of Istanbul Hawaii. Very sweet, nice, and caring for their customers. Treat you like family. They have a very good understanding of what customer service really is and should be. We left there satisfied and very happy after our meal. Definitely going to keep coming back to try the rest of their awesome menu. They even taught me how to say thank you in Turkish. 😊 Teşekkür ederim Istanbul Hawaii.

Returning to HI, where I was born and raised, to visit my 96 yr old aunty, took her for a new dining experience and we both thoroughly enjoyed your restaurant. We loved the story behind the creation of the restaurant, the food was superb, Natalie our server as well as the other wait staff were too-notch and friendly, and the decor was so gorgeous! Istanbul is one of my favorite cities in the world and it was such a joy to get a little taste of that enchanting place so close to home. Thank you!!

To start we had the watermelon referesher and the hibiscus lychee iced tea, both was delightful. For our appetizer we chose the calamari it was very good crispy and tasty, salad was good we had it with beef which was seasoned deliciously. We had a wrap with lamb which was a little bland. And for dessert we had the Hatay Kunefe with a side of vanilla bean ice cream, it was amazing! Service was excellent.

This was my second visit and my heat check after a phenomenal first experience. I brought a group of friends that had been very critical of every other highly rated restaurant. After the first bites, there were jaws on the floor. They were so elated they wanted a second reservation 2 days later, it is THAT good. Istanbul has soundly secured its spot as my absolute favorite restaurant. 🫶🤙🏻

Excellent food and d great service. Appetizer portions are small. My entree came out very late and the table was almost done eating by then, but that sort of thing happens sometimes.

Food is excellent as always. Our server this time was a little slow coming around even though the restaurant was not full. She was nice enough, but just took quite a bit of time to come around each time. Ambiance is always great.

Wonderful experience! Just like being back in Türkiye! The food was fantastic, wonderfully large portions. Our server was very kind and helpful. The tableware was so beautiful! I think the table settings really elevated the whole experience. My husband and I will definitely be back.

Our go-to choice every time we’re on island. It’s the best. The vibe is awesome. The wait-staff are superb. And the food is non pareil. The lamb tagine is fabulous!

Tesse gave us great service with a beautiful smile and served us Ono Vegan food… we had winter Fettush Salata, cauliflower shawarma with rice and it comes with a small salata! The drinks were good too:organic hibiscus lichee tea and 24k spritz. Can’t wait to come back and try something new!

To start, I’ve been cooking professionally since 1993. I’ve run kitchens. Currently a private chef for high profile executive clientele. It’s my job to execute outstanding cuisine. My wife has a very similar background. We came over from Kauai to have a date night in the big city and eat all the things and Istanbul Hawaii was on the list as we had read about the place in Hana Hou. We opted for brunch. Reservation at 12noon. We sat promptly and the beautiful dining room and our server was smiling and attentive. We ordered some apps from the lunch menu: hummus, dolmas and a “winter” veg salad. Also ordered the spanakopita Benedict and the Cilbir off the bunch menu to come out when we are done with apps. Apps come out in under 5min. Extraordinary. Alas, the $16 1/2cup of hummus was a bit chalky and heavy on the cumin. Beans on top were undercooked and firm. (6hrs later I’m still burping the taste of it). 4 underwhelming dolmas for $19. The chili sauce on top was hot and very tasty. Alas, for $5ea, I need more than 2 bites. The purslane salad could have been wonderful but something on that dish was old and musty. Like the oil was bad. Or maybe the macnuts were moldy. Before we could get more than a few bits into our apps, our server comes out with the entrees apologizing that the kitchen fired the dishes too early and asked if we wanted to send them back. In No mood to create trouble, we happily crowded our table with more food. Unfortunately all 5 eggs in our dishes were BARELY cooked. The whites weren’t even completely white yet. I know how to poach an egg. These were not poached. The spanakopita was tasty but chewy and not crisp and flaking like fresh baked spanakopita should. The hollandaise was a redeemer for the plate. My wife’s dish was soupy eggs and yogurt with stale bread. Advertised with ingredients she didn’t get and only eatable with a soup spoon. My wife spoke up. I didn’t think it was worth it. In and out in under and hour. $150 with tip. We won’t be back

Loved the weekend brunch menu. Unfortunately they ran out of the waffles by the time I got there. But everything else was too good to not go back again. We had the mez platter, the lamb chops, and French toast. The date syrup is amazing! Definitely would recommend.

Service was excellent; staff was very attentive. Had a table outside which would’ve been perfectly fine if not for the obnoxiously intoxicated woman seated behind us. Food was tasty with good portions.

It was our first time and our waiter was so informative. He recommended great choices which we did in fact end up getting. The restaurant setting is a vibe, it feels like i'm not in Hawaii. A few of my favorite things are the mini pans that they served our appetizers in and the mini pot that they served the rice in. 10/10 will come back for sure!!

This was my second time at Istanbul. The first time I had Shakshuka which was delicious. Yesterday, my friend had fish, it was outstanding. I had the shrimp which was unpeeled. It was not just the head as the waiter had said, it was the whole thing: it was messy and difficult to peel; I managed two out of the five served. I took the rest home & gave them to my neighbor. The service was excellent and our appetizer plate and our desert (Kunafa) were delicious.

I live outer island & when I get to Honolulu for a day, my time is squeezed between errands & back to the airport. . Knowing I love this fresh food, it was worth ordering at the bar & having it put in bento boxes so I could eat some on the spot and later, while waiting at airport, I can experience the delight twice in the same day! The atmosphere is always pleasant, from staff to diners, who all seemed to appreciate their food as much as I. Thank you Istanbul
