Welcome to Island. We have proudly been the neighborhood favorite in Carnegie Hill since we opened our doors in 1986. We take pride to offer the freshest seafood (think Jumbo Lump Crabcakes, Lobster Roll, Maple Glazed Salmon or Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl to name a few), a great variety of fresh salads, a burger that people die for and much more. We have a bar where you can dine or simply enjoy a cocktail or a glass of of wine (our entire wine list is served by the glass). Our warm and thoughtful service is hard to find in New York and is what continues to keep our customers coming back. We hope that you will come give Island a try and become one of our new regulars!

A dependently good Upper East Side restaurant. It's a nicely casual neighborhood place. The food is quite good, and the service friendly and efficient.

As described, a standard Upper East Side experience. Decent food, cordial service, prices what you expect. Don’t expect anything more and you will be satisfied.

We found this little gem of a restaurant when coming to the city. We had excellent service, food was delicious, staff was very attentive, and welcoming! We left after dinner, went to our show and came back for dessert and coffee! Splendid old world ambiance !!!

Island is our “go to” restaurant for almost any occasion or dinner or lunch out…the food is delicious, and the service is perfect! We even had a brunch for 23 people there a year ago, and they made it wonderful! Go to Island - it’s the best!

My curry chicken salad wasn’t great because there were too many apple pieces versus chicken. There should be a lot more chicken and raisins as well. Citarella makes a better curry chicken salad. Besides that everything was great.

Incredibly slow food service. It wasn’t the waiters fault but the kitchen is SLOW so half the meals come out cold. Tired of paying NY prices for tier three food and service. Not good!

We had a delightful dinner! Wonderful staff & service! Delicious food! And we loved the ambiance. Really liked the music they played as well - and it wasn't too loud - just right. Easy to enjoy your meal and talk. We'll be back.

Our party of five needed to move our reservation on short notice and were accommodated graciously by the staff. The service was friendly, energetic and efficient, and the food was superb. We had a wonderful Sunday evening.

The food at Island is always awesome! The service is equally outstanding. Adriana and Becky are amazing servers who are always friendly, attentive and professional. My only objection is that it's very noisy - not conducive to private conversations.

The fig salad is wonderful and the special fish was perfect - and sever with three huge stalks of fresh asparagus. I have been going to this neighborhood restart for over 20 and suggested my friend and I eat there last night. She had never eaten at Island and was pleasantly surprised how good it was.
