The service and food were excellent as usual. We were seated in the bar area, which is always loud. Much prefer the back room area.

Got there 15 minutes early and despite a busy restaurant our table was already clean and waiting for us. Good location within the restaurant. Appetizer got there in maybe 6 minutes. Deviled eggs. 5 stars there. I ordered the prime rib and it was very pink and tastes like you’re at the campsite with a peppery exterior. Texture worked with you each step of the way. 5 stars. Spent 90 for 2 with tip but was expecting around there so no complaints for the value.

First time there…..will not be the last. We really enjoyed everything ….atmosphere was great…food was FANTASTIC ! Awesome restaurant, we will be bringing friends.

Food and service is consistently good. The banana pudding was especially good and was comped as it was my birthday.

Food and service was excellent. Ambiance is cool but hard to hear. A fellow diner had several hacking fits .. thought someone was going to have to do the hymlic maneuver in him. Kinda killed the vibe for the entire restaurant. No one ever seemed to go ask or see if he needed anything. Not restaurants fault really just distracting while trying to enjoy a family meal.

Husband and I went with a friend to try a new place, Queso was great! The burnt ends in the 2 meat plates were half great, half way over cooked, almost not edible. Flatiron steak special was great, but Corn Pudding, is just cream corn with chilies, nothing too special. Banana Pudding was fabulous, but they ran out of ice cream for the fried peach pie. Pie was good, ice cream would have made it way better. Service was not the greatest, drinks went empty, had to ask for refills a couple times. Server dropped check before we ordered dessert (wasn’t asked if we wanted), then once desserts were brought out, he asked for the check and payment. Just very odd and stand off ish .

Waitress was very attentive and the Dutch oven sweet potatoes were delicious. The 2 meat 2 sides is where it’s at.

We made a reservation for a large party. They accommodated us easily. The bartender and waitress were fantastic. The food was very good, especially the cornbread with butter and pepper jelly.

We like to introduce friends to Iron Star and we’ve been doing this for years now! I made online reservations via Open Table and requested a particular table with a second choice. We arrived, got our first choice table selection and was immediately greeted by our waitperson. She was friendly, just the right measure of it, not overwhelming: just right! Our guests arrived and we were given time to chat a bit then peruse the menu. We ordered our standard appetizer, the meat/cheese board which is a great introduction to the menu with a serving each of so-tender sliced brisket, delectable smoked ribs, two kinds of smoked sausage, sharp cheddar sticks,jalapeño chow-chow, both the mild and the spicy and a cornbread muffin to share. Then for the entrees! One smoked chicken combo, three-2 meat combos with sides of okra, Dutch oven sweet potatoes, Mac and cheese and the roasted Brussels sprouts and carrots. Soooooooo good! Each of us had leftovers and all were impressed with the amazing quality and deliciousness of each item! Keep that special table available, we’ll be back with more friends in tow!
