International Smoke San Francisco is the wildly popular collaboration between award-winning Chef Michael Mina and renowned restaurateur, chef, 2x NY Times best-selling cookbook author, philanthropist, television host and producer, and entrepreneur Ayesha Curry. Inspired by Curry and Mina’s shared love of global travels and international cooking techniques, International Smoke ignites a new spark of flavor and creativity focused on woodfired steaks, seafood, ribs, and vegetarian entrees to create flavorful dishes that are craveable worldwide.

    Great restaurant. Delicious food! The short ribs melt in your mouth but are pricey. Best to share with someone and get lots of sides. The Brussel sprouts and duck fat fries are my pick for sides. Mac n Cheese was ok but would prefer to try the lobster one next time. The S’mores dessert was cool as the covered dish was full of smoke and release when they removed the cover. Just a cool presentation . Service was great and the manager came by to answer any questions on the menu and gave options for substitutions for our vegetarian friend. They even made a dish that was not on the menu for him. Would definitely come back and try other dishes.

    The food was good but it was not my favorite Michael Mina Restaurant. I was expecting more "smoked meat" selections - I was somewhat disappointed. It seems like the restaurant isn't sure if it wants to be a steakhouse or an upscale soul food restaurant. Additionally, they were out of the Sea Bass, Blackened Catfish and the Tomahawk! And we had a rather early (6:30 pm) reservation for a Saturday night. My Old Fashion however was beyond excellent. Also, we had a party of 12 which grew to a party of 15. We had to split our reservation which the restaurant hostess did for us over the phone the day before; she was very accommodating. The restaurant then canceled our two separate reservations and then provided us with one reservation for 15. We were seated with no issues. However, the next day, my card was charged $400 for a "cancellation." The error has been corrected but I have been told it will take 5-7 days for the actual refund to take place. :(

    I had the greatest experience at International Smoke when having dinner with friends for a birthday celebration. The Sea Bass and Salmon was fantastic and probably the best I’ve had. Every side dish was amazing and we finished everything. Service was fast and efficient. I can’t wait to return and try the filet.

    Disappointing! Had waited a long time to plan a dinner there and was super excited about our evening. The restaurant is very beautiful and the staff was exceptionally attentive but the ambiance did not match up with the quality of food. The half rack of ribs were brought to our table room temperature, and what was most surprising to me was the brussel sprouts were served untrimmed, with woody, long hard stems. Very hard to eat. We ordered several other items on the menu and they were also only mediocre. Wound not recommend this restaurant

    We had a private event for my best friend’s bachelorette. The staff and service was top notch. Chef Jeff was very welcoming and helpful. The food was good, although next time we would upgrade for the $85/ea plan to get some ribs included on the menu. There was initially a complication with my reservation which was a big stressful, but the team made up for it with the great attitudes, good food and A+ service.

    Everything was excellent. Only thing I noticed that wasn’t excellent was that the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it could’ve been and there’s no way to tell when a restroom is occupied.

    It has been awhile since I left a restaurant so excited!! E V E R Y Bite was excellent!! We chose the tasting menu with drink pairing and enjoyed every bit of it. We were beyond full when finished!! Joey, was amazing in helping us understand the menu, providing options and recommendations. He even went back to find out what was in the amazing gravy, we had a bet about mushrooms. The curbed booths were spacious and a great place to sit to let you enjoy the entire restaurant! We have plans to go back now and try their Happy Hour menu and enjoy the space even more!!!
