Le restaurant Insalata's célébre son 20ème anniversaire. Insalata's reçoit la mention « Bib Gourmand » de Michelin pour la 8ème année consécutive. L'objectif d'Insalata's est de produire une cuisine méditerranéenne succulente servie de manière courtoise dans une atmosphère chaleureuse. Depuis plus de 20 ans, on y partage une expérience culinaire intime et festive de toutes sortes de façons. L'établissement est d'abord et avant tout un restaurant gastronomique avec sa magnifique salle privée Siena où vous pourrez vous détendre et profiter d'un bon repas. Le service pour emporter et le service de traiteur sont disponibles pour les jours où vous êtes plus pressé par le temps ou si vous souhaitez organiser une réception à la maison ou sur votre lieu de travail. Vous y serez reçu comme si vous faisiez partie de la famille! Insalata's est aujourd'hui bien ancré au sein de sa communauté. The whole experience was lovely. The place was full, so the noise level was a bit elevated, but understandable. The flavor of the meal was vibrant.

Fantastic experience! We were treated to exceptional service and a wonderful meal, even with a full restaurant (lots of large parties during graduation week).

Had a group of 7 to celebrate an event . As usual all dishes were outstanding ! Service and atmosphere very nice . Will be back as this is one of our favorites in Marin and Bay Area.

The food was wonderful and enought to have the leftovers the next night. We had the porkchop which was cooked perfectly. It was our 40 th anniversary and our waiter served us with style and his timing was impecable. Thank you Felix.

Insalatas is an iconic and outstanding example of fine dining in Marin with a staff that treats you like a dear neighbor. The menu is diverse and not one dish should be missed. The staff is solicitous and knowledgeable. The ambiance is comfortable and friendly with a beautifully decorated dining room. It can be romantic or a great place for a whole group gathering. They will take great care of you.

I love Insalata's and have been going there for years. The food is consistently great and so delicious. Today my friend and I had the Syrian Fattoush Salads - my favorite. I was a little disappointed in the quality of the lettuce they used. Too much of the darker green ends of romaine lettuce that are limp and not crunchy and delicious like the lighter parts. Pieces of chicken were too big for one bite and had to be cut. The salads are also huge and I'd prefer more quality and less quantity. However, they were very accommodating and left out the onions for me. Still my favorite salad in Marin.

We are so glad to discover Insalata’s — it’s our new favorite restaurant! The Mediterranean cuisine is prepared in a unique style, sure to please the discriminating gourmand. We can’t wait to try everything on the menu!

I ordered the Moroccan vegetarian tagine: the menu listed lots and lots of ingredients so of course anyone would assume that there were no omissions. Then when I was served there was corn sprinkled all over: I’m a trained chef and studied pastry making in France — so it was offensive to have TWO of your wait staff argue with me that “that is not corn it is garbanzo beans!” This was super rude and disgusting — how ignorant of them to decide I could not understand what corn tasted like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And disgusting to think I didn’t know the difference between corn and garbanzo beans—- I’m a trained chef!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The male waiter was blatantly put out and argued with me telling me “you didn’t inform me you can’t eat corn!” Where do you get these rude obnoxious characters from??????? Finally the cook came out with a new dish — with no corn. He said “you DEFINITELY HAD CORN AND I REPRIMANDED THE STAFF FOR NOT LISTING IT ON THE Menu!!!” He was very apologetic and POLITE AND PROFESSIONAL. The dish was delicious.

Maybe this is unfair, but I recently moved here from the East Coast and compared it to familiar Mediterranean food at restaurants there. And was quite disappointed with Insalata. Their fattoush was lauded as a specialty and is a favorite dish of mine. I was served…just a green salad, really. Okay, but not the complex mix of vegetables, bread and dressing that I know as fattoush. They were serving it with chicken, which I had them delete. Never had chicken in fattoush before. My companion ordered the mezzo platter and got a small, odd assembly of items, but it did have falafel that was pretty good. It’s an okay restaurant, but I would not call it authentic Middle Eastern.
