Industry Ales is a brand new concept in the heart of Chicago taking the classic brewery to the next level with upscale decor and vibes of forgotten Chicago history. A block away from the Art Institute, Grant & Millennium Parks, and convenient to a plethora of hotels, Industry Ales is striving to build community for locals and travelers alike one pint at a time.

A full lunch and dinner menu with inventive takes on dishes by Chef Steven Kowaleski, an amazing in house brewing program from Head Brewer Michael Gretz, and a full craft cocktail program by Lead Bartender James VanDerBosch.

Industry Ales features a dining room, a beer hall with a 60 foot/30 seat bar, as well as two private event spaces. Whether you join us for a quick lunch touring the city, a unique dinner date, or for after work libations, we have everything you are looking for!

Dined here before a taping of "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" at the Studebaker Theater. It's great to have another option in the south loop. The beer was good - not earth-shattering, and while the menu is limited, what I had was excellent. I will definitely be back.

Incredible new hotspot in the Loop. Their beer and food options are upscale but affordable. They have a couple of option for private dining too!

Awesome service!! Spot on drinks!! The food was absolutely delicious ! Smash burger was juicy and seasoned perfect! Wonderful Kentucky Derby day party!!! We’ll be back soon!!

Loud, Loud, Loud! Went after work on a Thursday night for happy hour, decided to stay and have dinner. We thought if we moved away from the bar and sat at a table, we could talk - not true. If you want to have any kind of conversation here, forget it. The acoustics are terrible! Hamburger was Meh, with bland goopy cheese, and bacon so hard it was like plastic. Service was the only shiny star. Claire was great.

What a fantastic addition to the Loop! Great new space with an elevated esthetic. They feature a terrific menu, welcoming wait staff and an overall great experience. Thrilled to see a new space come alive in the Loop! Perfect for anyone going to the Art Institute of Chicago, the Symphony or DePaul’s Loop Campus.

We think the overall experience was quite wonderful and certainly right up there with some of the best in the city for gastropubs. The decor is fantastic. The menu, whether you are there for food or drinks, is very interesting and different in a nice way. The staff were lovely and welcoming. We had quite a few things off the menu and almost everything was good. The Tofu sandwich, if you’re into that, was one of the best we’ve ever had. We initially thought it was a bit too thick but the flavor was outstanding. The pizza samosas were a highlight. The brisket pate was nice although I would’ve preferred to have had that to be warm. Burger was perfectly charred. They are in their first week so nothing is held against them as they iron out their kinks l. The food was a little cool. The asparagus was too large a portion and a little sloppy in texture. One strange thing, they gave us mini salt and pepper sellers which felt like they came out of our parents dining room from the 50s or 60s. Don’t know why they wouldn’t just have a salt and pepper grinder which is always tastes better than pre-ground. Overall a wonderful experience and we will certainly be back with our friends. good luck!

Food was good, atmosphere lively, if a bit too loud. I would recommend it for a pre-theater bite.
