Family owned In Contrada Vineyard, the oldest winery in San Antonio, invites you to visit us! Enjoy an afternoon in the vines while delighting in our house made wines and freshly prepared food.

We offer inside dinning in addition to covered outside seating in the vineyard. Outside you will find gazebos, sun shades, misters and fans. Its really quite nice!

Please make sure to note our Kitchen Hours if you will be dinning with us:
Kitchen closes promptly at 8pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Sunday the kitchen closes promptly at 5 pm.
Our Wine Tasting Hours are:
Thursday 4pm to 9pm,
Friday 4pm to 9pm,
Saturday 12pm to 9pm,
Sunday 12pm to 6pm.

No split checks on parties of 6 or more & gratuity is automatically added on parties of 6+

We made reservations for Mother's Day dinner and specifically requested a high chair for our almost two-year-old son. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they do not have high chairs. Thankfully, we had a travel high chair, but it was disappointing that they couldn't accommodate such a basic request. It felt exclusionary, catering more towards patrons without children. Regarding the food, it was alright but slightly overpriced for the quality. The pizza, touted as a specialty by our waiter, fell short of expectations. While the ambience in the vineyard was fantastic, creating an intimate outdoor setting, the overall experience was marred by the lack of accommodation for families with young children. We might return for a special occasion, but it's unlikely given the disappointing aspects of our visit. Food: ⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This place is great! My fiancé and I came for our anniversary last month and last week end we came to get a glass of wine and take engagement photos! Everyone was so nice! Thank you all very much! Sonya and the owner were a great help!

The food was delicious but a bit pricey. I will go again but be more mindful of ordering. The white wines were delicious also.

Such a beautiful location and has tremendous potential. Unfortunately, was understaffed and unprepared. Had a reservation for a special experience and was seated quickly. Server was unaware that we signed up for the special experience-or that it even existed-but we were able to resolve that. Got a glass of wine in 15 minutes. Wanted to order food but server didn’t stop by our table during the next 40 minutes and the kitchen closed. After an hour, the charcuterie board still had not arrived so I got up and found our server near the kitchen. Let them know we were going to leave to find some food. They apologized and comped the wine. I tipped her $20 anyway and we left. Could have been a great experience and was prepared to buy a second glass of wine and dinner but never got the chance. I hope they are able to pull it together - could be a great place.

We aim to provide every guest with excellent service, ambiance, food, and wine. You are correct that we have been a little understaffed as of late. Some of our beloved team members have graduated and/or accepted positions in their respective fields (which we celebrate!) We are doing our very best to bring on new team members & train them, which does take some time. Our remaining team is working very hard to fill in the gaps in the meantime, right down to our owner. We sincerely hope to have the chance to make it up to you on your next visit.

Love the Zin-pom red! Had fabulous Brie and Flat bread pizza. Lovely ambiance with nice unobstrusive live music in a beautiful setting outside! Highly recommend. Unfortunately our waiter was bit off. He brought wrong wine at first and forgot to put our meatball order in. We have had better help in past so hope just an off day...

Small “vineyard” outside Bulverde. Decent wine but grapes are all imported so not grown there. They are doing a lot of remodeling so looked a bit dumpy and trashy- can for sure do with a big cleanup. But cute seating in between vines with fairy lights. Very small menu that was decent at best. Wines were ok. Tasted a flight but did not buy any. Will probably not return.

Thank you for your honest review. As a small, family-owned establishment, we value all feedback. While we do not utilize the grapes grown on our vines, we do make the wine here at the vineyard from imported grapes from all over the world. We are so proud of the varietals we have been able to meticulously craft. As we expand our kitchen and make renovations, there will be some aesthetic elements that are lacking in polish. We unfortunately have to break a few eggs to make the cake, but we are always grateful for our guests' patience and grace as we work to create an amazing place for people to come and relax. We understand that In Contrada will not always be everyone's cup of tea and that is okay. Nevertheless, we are grateful for your visit and your feedback.

Wonderful night out with the family. Great food & wine, lovely atmosphere, wonderful service and personal touch from the owner, and trivia night was perfect entertainment. Visiting from Florida, but if we lived closer, we’d be regulars.

The pizza was good. My biggest issue is that a lot of the wines offered are club member only. You cannot even taste the wines unless you’re in the club. I’d like to taste the wine before joining. Also their non member Cab and Merlot were sold out and were not substituted with anything.

We absolutely loved our experience at InContrada. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. We were late for our reservation (2pm) but they held our table! The buratta, meatballs and ravioli were all delicious. Our entire table ordered the wine tasting. All 6 women loved it. Ed invited us to sample the new Prosecco, as well. Our friends were visiting from DC and they loved the entire experience. Beautiful views and tranquil atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love the ambiance of In Contrada Vineyard + kitchen. The wine and food were amazing! The service was excellent. We wanted a place to celebrate our 3 year wedding anniversary and we are so happy we came across this place, definitely recommend and will come again! :)

We had the most amazing visit here! The food was incredible, the wine was delicious, and the service was *chefs kiss*. The wine flight was so worth it, and the Brie was such a perfect starter. Definitely get ALL the things!!

Refused to serve wine even though im 24 just because ID had expired a month ago but did not ask the table next to us to see any form of ID and they received their order before us despite us arriving and ordering before them. Would not recommend this place to anyone clearly they discriminate and pick and choose when to follow the “law”

Hi Rose, We are sorry that you had a less-than-amazing experience at our vineyard. According to Texas State Law "A store, bar or restaurant chooses whether to sell alcohol to a person with an expired driver's license, a foreign passport or other ID. What's acceptable is a matter of that establishment's private business policies." We have a policy here at our establishment that requires any guest who is not a club member and/or provided age verification on a previous occasion, to do so. The timing of the dishes being served depends on many factors, one being the type of dish ordered & how long it takes to prepare them. We apologize if you felt that your table was neglected to be served in an order that you deemed timely. We hope that this sheds some light on things & wish you the very best!

We had a lovely time on a dreary afternoon. We started outside then moved inside when it began to rain. The pizza and charcuterie board were excellent. Ed, the owner, came by to share info and their new sparkling wine that was delicious! We had a wonderful afternoon!

Very nice ambience resembling vineyards in Europe, especially on a sunny winter day after rains help to revive the surrounding vegetation. However, the food and wines are overpriced. The toppings on the pricy pizzas were slim, and the wine prices compare to those in Napa, CA. Nice visit for an occasion, but don’t expect to return anytime soon.

It was the best dining experience I’ve had in a very LONG time. The singer, Lauren, and guitarist made the evening so enjoyable with beautiful music to enliven our dining, yet not too loud to prevent conversation. The food and wine was exceptional and I can’t say enough good about the ambience and servers too.

My wife and I enjoy our date nights and In Contrada did not disappoint. Our servers Mei & Emily were delightful as the food and wine were delicious! We will be back, until then, we will enjoy the wines we bought❤️

Visiting the area and wanted to hit a winery. Staff is wonderful and really enjoyed the surroundings! Pinot Grigio was great!

Great time and great place to bring family or friends visiting. Had a great wine selection and the pizza was delicious.

NOT WORTH IT!! I have been wanting to visit this place since I saw it on TV. Unfortunately, the wine tasted funky, the food was undercooked and very expensive. On the up side, the location is nice.

They have a good concept but at this time of the day we had lots of bugs and the food is very expensive for they can give you plastic cups and paper plates. The water tastes funny like metal. I bet at night look beautiful but was too expensive for the quality of service and food. We left as soon we paid for the food and went to eat to another restaurant. Sorry but that was our experience.

Thank you for your honest feedback. We appreciate any insight that our guests offer us, good, bad, and ugly. Yes, dining outdoors can result in bugs being present. We do have an indoor dining space if you should want to visit again. Our disposable plates and cutlery are used for pizzas due to the lack of a large kitchen, but we have plans to expand as soon as possible. But, above all, we would like to extend our apologies for a less-than-stellar experience and would like to reach out to you privately in order to continue this discussion if you are amenable to doing so.

Took my wife here for her birthday, and she loved it. Nice location, good food, and the wine was great! Will be coming back.
