Family owned In Contrada Vineyard, the oldest winery in San Antonio, invites you to visit us! Enjoy an afternoon in the vines while delighting in our house made wines and freshly prepared food.

We offer inside dinning in addition to covered outside seating in the vineyard. Outside you will find gazebos, sun shades, misters and fans. Its really quite nice!

Please make sure to note our Kitchen Hours if you will be dinning with us:
Kitchen closes promptly at 8pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. On Sunday the kitchen closes promptly at 5 pm.
Our Wine Tasting Hours are:
Thursday 4pm to 9pm,
Friday 4pm to 9pm,
Saturday 12pm to 9pm,
Sunday 12pm to 6pm.

No split checks on parties of 6 or more & gratuity is automatically added on parties of 6+

We visited the vineyard when we were traveling for work. It was a great spot with some decent wines. We played trivia and ate pizza. The experience was lovely.

4th visit, decided to try the patio dining experience. Was not disappointed; covered area plus ceiling fans made the 12:30p brunch time pleasant. Food and wait-staff on point as usual. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My first time going to a wine garden with my girlfriend. We sat outside in the garden and enjoyed the wine samples with freshly made pizza. It was a hot day but they had many fans blowing air to keep it cool. Recommend it for a couples date.

We made reservations for Mother's Day dinner and specifically requested a high chair for our almost two-year-old son. However, upon arrival, we were informed that they do not have high chairs. Thankfully, we had a travel high chair, but it was disappointing that they couldn't accommodate such a basic request. It felt exclusionary, catering more towards patrons without children. Regarding the food, it was alright but slightly overpriced for the quality. The pizza, touted as a specialty by our waiter, fell short of expectations. While the ambience in the vineyard was fantastic, creating an intimate outdoor setting, the overall experience was marred by the lack of accommodation for families with young children. We might return for a special occasion, but it's unlikely given the disappointing aspects of our visit. Food: ⭐⭐⭐ Ambience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We are sorry to read that your experience was not a wonderful one. Your request for a highchair via OpenTable was overlooked and we truly apologize for that. Had we seen the request, we would have reached out ahead of time to let you know that we do not offer highchairs. We do welcome guests with children, however, we do not currently have accommodations for babies. We will take this under consideration for the future. We would love to reach out to you privately as well in order to gather more information. We strive to learn from our shortcomings and be a place that is welcoming to all.

This place is great! My fiancé and I came for our anniversary last month and last week end we came to get a glass of wine and take engagement photos! Everyone was so nice! Thank you all very much! Sonya and the owner were a great help!

The food was delicious but a bit pricey. I will go again but be more mindful of ordering. The white wines were delicious also.

Such a beautiful location and has tremendous potential. Unfortunately, was understaffed and unprepared. Had a reservation for a special experience and was seated quickly. Server was unaware that we signed up for the special experience-or that it even existed-but we were able to resolve that. Got a glass of wine in 15 minutes. Wanted to order food but server didn’t stop by our table during the next 40 minutes and the kitchen closed. After an hour, the charcuterie board still had not arrived so I got up and found our server near the kitchen. Let them know we were going to leave to find some food. They apologized and comped the wine. I tipped her $20 anyway and we left. Could have been a great experience and was prepared to buy a second glass of wine and dinner but never got the chance. I hope they are able to pull it together - could be a great place.

We truly appreciate your patronage and honest feedback. First and foremost, we apologize for your less-than-stellar experience. We aim to provide every guest with excellent service, ambiance, food, and wine. You are correct that we have been a little understaffed as of late. Some of our beloved team members have graduated and/or accepted positions in their respective fields (which we celebrate!) We are doing our very best to bring on new team members & train them, which does take some time. Our remaining team is working very hard to fill in the gaps in the meantime, right down to our owner. We sincerely hope to have the chance to make it up to you on your next visit.

Love the Zin-pom red! Had fabulous Brie and Flat bread pizza. Lovely ambiance with nice unobstrusive live music in a beautiful setting outside! Highly recommend. Unfortunately our waiter was bit off. He brought wrong wine at first and forgot to put our meatball order in. We have had better help in past so hope just an off day...

Small “vineyard” outside Bulverde. Decent wine but grapes are all imported so not grown there. They are doing a lot of remodeling so looked a bit dumpy and trashy- can for sure do with a big cleanup. But cute seating in between vines with fairy lights. Very small menu that was decent at best. Wines were ok. Tasted a flight but did not buy any. Will probably not return.

Thank you for your honest review. As a small, family-owned establishment, we value all feedback. While we do not utilize the grapes grown on our vines, we do make the wine here at the vineyard from imported grapes from all over the world. We are so proud of the varietals we have been able to meticulously craft. As we expand our kitchen and make renovations, there will be some aesthetic elements that are lacking in polish. We unfortunately have to break a few eggs to make the cake, but we are always grateful for our guests' patience and grace as we work to create an amazing place for people to come and relax. We understand that In Contrada will not always be everyone's cup of tea and that is okay. Nevertheless, we are grateful for your visit and your feedback.
