il Passaggio is a licenced modern Italian Restaurant at the Fishermen's Wharf in the Far South Coast NSW sea-side town of Bermagui. You can come and have a quick glass of wine with an antipasti or pizza, or you can sit on the banquette and look at the boats in the harbour while you enjoy a three course lunch or dinner. We have a simple menu that uses as much local produce as we can find. The South Coast of NSW offers up many wonderful ingredients and our simple Italian menu aims to keep the integrity of each one.

Food was outstanding. The only thing that would make it better is to turn down the lights and add music. That would make SO much better!! Ambience is a big part of the experience 😉

Most loveliest evenings I have had for a very long time. There was a full moon shining over the Bermagui Harbour. We had cocktails at Harbar next door to start and then where seated at an outdoor table on the deck. The food was absolutely outstanding and everyone had such a great time the service, the staff, the quality was all first class Such a nice surprise to receive that type of service and quality in a small regional seaside town

The food, service & ambience at Ill Passagio, Bermagui Wharf is always of an extremely high level. The homemade pasta & pizzas were so delicious. we look forward to our return.

A small menu selection but the food is fresh, pizza dough and toppings delicious and servings are generous. There is a well curated wine list. The wharf location adds to the very pleasant dining experience. We found the staff welcoming, knowledgeable and responsive.

Once again, a lovely experience. Worth the drive. Fabulous location overlooking the marina and next door to the Har Bar where we had a drink first. Great atmosphere with everyone enjoying themselves. Staff very good. Loved the special pizza - zucchini, garlic, lemon, pine nuts ...

I come here each time I’m on the coast for my birthday. And each visit is amazing. The range of red wines are splendid, and every meal I’ve ordered have come out in a timely manner, and taste perfect. 11/10 stars.

Had a lovely evening with friends at this Italian restaurant. Had a shared antipasti (stuffed zucchini flowers), duck ragu pasta and a basque cheesecake with lemon curd. Each course was delicious, well seasoned and great flavour combinations. Service was friendly, welcoming and efficient. The Italian Pinot Grigio as recommended by our waitress was a lovely complement to the meal.

Good although our family left a $100 voucher on our booking for a surprise present that was not applied, so we paid full price

The team made us feel very welcome, helped us pick nice drinks to accompany our meal and kindly relocated us when I got cold. The service was exceptional and the food was amazing too. So delicious! Highly recommend.

Unsympathetic service to injured guest and inexperienced wait staff with attitude. Over charged for dishes we did not order. Have been 20 times before and this was our worst customer service ever

We didn't actually get to the point of ordering any food, but had a look at a menu. There was a very limited list of meals on it, nothing really to choose from. No steaks, only one children's dish. But it wasn't the main problem in our experience at il Passagio. We booked two outside tables, and were aware of a weather disclaimer. It started drizzling when we sat at tables. There was an umbrella by the table, and we asked a waitress to open it up. She replied that it was a sun protection and it wasn't suitable for rain. I am sure the umbrella would definitely protect us from that drizzle, but we were left to sit in wet conditions. Left without ordering anything. Looks like they are not that interested in looking after their customers. Lost seven guests just because couldn't provide some rain cover.

Always come here when holidaying in Bermagui. The polenta chips, zucchini flowers and prawn linguini are superb. They rightly so are always on the menu and I hope they stay forever. They and the wonderful ambience and location are why we keep coming back time and time again.

Il Passagio we are so lucky to have you in Bermagui in your waterfront location! Sometimes the menu can be a bit same-same but last night, we were wowed by the delicious and unusual pea and and mint arancini and the stunning spaghetti with spring unions, broad beans and stracciatella! The Basque cheese cake too was a bit hit. Top it off with a beautiful bottle of French bubbles and it was a stunner of an evening for old friends toasting the end of a big year for all. Thank you!!! A well located restaurant opposite the marina with good simple food. The menu is not overly large which is good. Service was efficient and friendly. If we lived in Bermagui, we would be regulars.

The food is atrocious and the menu extremely limited. Pasta undercooked, sauces well over cooked. Fish was reminiscent of supermarket freezer aisle and burnt to a dark brown. The risotto was overcooked and mushy/oily. A horrible dining experience. The owners need to have a long hard look as to what they put on a customer plate. Pitiful experience.

Hi Michael, You came into our restaurant with an attitude that seemed determined to have a bad time. After complaining that the menu was not to your taste (although it is available to check ahead of time online) you bullied our staff into letting you create a meal that is not on our menu, and does not meet the standards of quality to which we hold ourselves, then complained. In a time of recession where small businesses are struggling to keep doors open, you should be ashamed of your behaviour.
