Really just a quality, unpretentious, old school New York restaurant - with slightly modern decor. A broad, but universally tasty, menu and authentic classic (European) Italian service. Not inexpensive but absolutely worth the price.

Our waiter and wait staff were top notch and very helpful. Would eat here again. Playing Japanese music in an Italian restaurant was a bit confusing. :)

Stopped in at Il Giglio for lunch at had the the most wonderful experience. The space is simple but beautiful. The spinach salad with mushrooms was fresh and delicious. The homemade gnocchi with mozzarella was out of this world. And the chocolate cake was heavenly. The service was beyond superb. Fantastic addition to the Tribeca dining scene.

The service was amazing, the waiters were extremely friendly and kind. We had chicken parm and chicken matini , both didn’t warrant the price tag and tasted no better than an average pizzeria. .

Outstanding. We started coming here in 2007 on Warren St. Our first time at the reopened Greenwich St. location. Must of the same staff. Pounded veal chop parm; broiled veal chop; delicious pasta. Excellent in every way.

The best Italian food I know of in New York City. Read the menu but listen carefully to the specials, and ask a lot of questions. Show that you care and they will shower you with extraordinary food and attention.

From the moment the five of us walked in to Il Giglio we were convinced that this was a great choice for dinner. By the end of the night, all five of us were raving to each other on how great the food was, how great the service was and when we could come back. Every single employee was more courteous than the next. What a great choice for a date, family occasion, or just a superb plate of pasta, even though I had the veal.

Another fantastic meal! Yesterday was such a beautiful day and we sat out side which just made the food taste even better! The host ended up being our waiter and he was absolutely perfect! We couldn’t have asked for a better combination of food, service and ambiance!!!

Next level Italian cuisine. Perfect location for a romantic dinner. The staff went above and beyond to make our dining experience special. The food was superb. I highly recommend Il Giglio to anyone looking for a wonderful meal in a beautiful setting while in NYC.

This is a very upscale Italian dining experience. The staff is abundant (multiple people attending to refilling water and clearing plates and glasses) and all very professional. A platter of focaccia and bruschetta, cheese, zucchini, olive, and prosciutto was placed on the table to nibble on-- a delicious treat although one overzealous clearer whisked it way and we weren't quite done...The food is spectacular-fresh and beautiful but be aware that it can be pricey. Some items do not have a price on the menu (the branzino or risotto) so the bill can be a bit of shock. This isn't to say it's not worth it because it is but be prepared. All in all it is definitely a delightful treat to dine here.

We were beyond thrilled to discover our favorite NYC Italian restaurant has finally reopened. The new location is stunning, food delicious, service attentive, and we were excited to discover they carry many of the same off-menu specials as the predecessor. We'll definitely be back.

The risotto I ordered came overly cooked, they kindly offered a change but the spagetti carbonara which was a spagetti with bacon but not a carbonara. I think the chef in the kitchen does not know much about Italian food.
