I love all Il Fornaios. Sadly, the Pasadena location has closed and the Beverly Hills location is going to close soon. I urge everyone to go to the Manhattan Beach location to support them. It is a beautiful restaurant with impeccable service, white tablecloths and authentic Italian food. It’s hard to find a quality restaurant like this nowadays. I’ve been going to Il Fornaio restaurants since 1981 when they first opened in Beverly Hills. It’s a special family of restaurants.

Pleasant experience near Manhattan Beach . Easy access location. Seated us promptly . Food was solid . Enjoyed the meatball appetizer and clam pasta dish . Service was ok , nothing special.

We were celebrating a retirement and it was lovely. Table ready when we arrived for reservation. Server greeted us promptly. They had great offerings on daily specials menu as well as full regular menu. We tried one of the specials- chicken parmigiana and it was served with broccolini and mashed potatoes. Delicious. Other dish was Tagliatelle Al Ragú… tasty and filling. They were attentive and wrapped up the leftovers and brought the bill at appropriate time. Overall great experience and service.

Went to the Manhattan Beach location. Easy parking, same day reservation for a group, nice decor, efficient hostesses, excellent and efficient server (super professional), food was delicious. Only negative was the charge for bread, maybe a sign of the times.

The dinner was fantastic! Food great as usual. Since they have an espresso machine, I was able to have an Affogato and an espresso martini. This really beats the Bluewater Grill, where the food is good but does not believe in espresso. Il Fornaio is unbeatable all around. The food, the service, and the ambience make it the place to kick back and enjoy.

We had a belated Mom’s Day lunch with a grandson. He enjoyed hus steak, my husband had a generous portion of Branzino and I had the butternut squash raviolis. All of the entrees were delicious.

We went on a busy Mother’s Day evening. We had a reservation for 8 for 7pm and we arrived just a few minutes early. They were able to seat us right away. The wait staff was understandably a little stressed with the busyness but still did a good job.
