Ikaria is a Greek Island which derives its name from Icarus, who is believed to have fallen into the sea after he tried to fly to the sun with wax wings. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. The restaurant is very small and only had three tables, but there were a couple of comfortable sofas outside where people could eat & drink. I was hoping for a more traditional Greek fare, but the food was more “upscale” and “modern” which didn’t really appeal to me…also, I was hoping for more of a Greek vibe…but the music was anything but Greek, and the staff hailed from France! I must say that I was shocked when the bill came to >AUD150/person…so I don’t rate them as good value for money!

Love everything about this place! The food (Saganaki is to die for), the cocktails (Clarified pina colada is a must) and the staff are attentive and genuinely friendly. Perfect for every occasion; date night, lunch with the girls, even solo dining at the bar - with a glass of red and an entire Saganaki for one. Love!

A must go! Loved everything about it ☺️ Kingfish Crudo was the pick of the day. Same for the Crème Brulee.

Incredible food and well priced dishes. The market fish was a little expensive at $42, only serving 2 people (quite small portions). The flavour of the food was amazing, great vegetarian options too.

Best all up dinning experience we have had in a very long time. View was amazing - yes we got lucky with bench seats, service friendly, engaging and very helpful and every dish was just superb.

Dined with a group of friends for a Sunday night. They had run out out of most ingredients to make up a cocktail I had requested which was on their cocktail list. Couldnt make me a lychee Martini, no lychees. So I settled on a passion fruit one, which was super small. Two wines we asked for they dint have. Food was overall nice. Waitress could have been more attentive.

This was our second time at Ikaria, and once again it did not disappoint! We booked for New Year’s Eve and were seated at the bar, and received the best service from the bartenders (the one who mostly looked after us was Yohann, but all of them were exceptional). The food was amazing as per usual and perfectly timed! We ordered the $89 banquet menu and the food was very well balanced. We had a great time and will definitely be back.

We had such a wonderful time for dinner. Visiting from NYC, this was such a treat. The staff was wonderful. The ambiance cozy and beautifully appointed, and overall just felt like we were well taken care of. The food is absolutely incredible. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience. <3
