Our private dining package seats 35 guests or holds a reception for 50 guests. With a view of the wine cellar, our Italian restaurant is perfect for all kinds of events.

Il Piatto is open for lunch, brunch, dinner and happy hour.

    My lunch was the Il Piatto salad. A bit disappointing: large pile of arugula, a few mandarin orange slices mixed in, atop smoked salmon slices that were rather tasteless. The best part of the meal was the bread basket. I would be glad to return and order something a little more substantial so I could judge better. It's a lovely place, packed for lunch, terrific service.

    Air conditioning wasn’t working or on. Service was friendly but didn’t come to the table often. Took forever to order and didn’t ask if we wanted another drink until we were totally done with food. Food was ok, not great.

    Great bottomless brunch - they offer 4 types of mimosas and the servers will proactively get your refill order. Truly a fun place to brunch with friends with surprisingly delicious dishes.

    Mother's Day Brunch has been an overall good experience here. The Tiramisu french toast was a little off this time (small, tough) but they were busier than last year. Service was good, but our table was a little tight for 5.

    We enjoyed our recent dinner. The service was very attentive. Cocktails were tasty and the glass of wine was a nice sized pour. I had the linguini with seafood which was very fresh tasting. There was a good amount of high quality seafood in the dish. My only criticism is that the dish was a bit bland. My dinner partner had a pasta special with scallops, which was also very good but also a bit on the bland side. Otherwise I would recommend for a pleasant downtown Italian restaruant with good portions and reasonable prices.

    The food and service were outstanding! A great value for this area of the District. We were fortunate to find this place after our reservation at another restaurant fell through due to a mistake on my part. Will definitely return!!!
