Your steaks aren't hot, out wagyu style filet was under, we asked for a bump up, the steak came back cold shrunken, black, burned and tough 40 minutes later. We couldn't wait, another hour. Embarrassing. We ordered a crab cake, It was cold, we didn't send it back, ate it. We asked, for another but warmer, you were out of them. I think you're resting your steaks and you shouldn't, it is rested enough by the time your unreliable runners get to, just stop the non-sense, change your policy. Ruth Chris doesn't do that. That 400 degree plate has you eating your whole meal hot or you can let it rest while enjoying the aroma. On top of the whole thing when we just gave up on the whole meal we sent this whole debacle of a steak back and asked for our, we just wanted out. Our plates were cleared out by our excellent waitress Kayla, she put the large plate, with the bad steak, on the bottom only to see that same plate returned by a runner. At that point I wasnt shocked.

My food was overcooked. There was a loud issue and confrontation going on at the bar while we were having dinner. They did not have all the ingredients to make a kids beverage

The food tasted great! Very nice restaurant beautiful atmosphere ! The only down fall was the waiter seemed to be overwhelmed and a bit lazy he was not attentive enough he didn’t bring bread to table until we asked for it refills on pop he said they charge extra which I thought was not very accommodating if that’s true . He brought refills but no ice in them and I have never paid this much money to be with a lazy waiter. He claimed to get ice he had to get it from downstairs ? It just sounded like excuses to us!

“This place isn’t like it used to be,” a fellow patron (and stranger) whispered to me on his way out. Boy, was he right. Took 15 minutes to get the first drink. Appetizers arrived before the drink, even though the drinks were ordered first. One elderly server almost knocked my daughter in the head with a full arriving plate. She had to duck and stay down for 20 seconds. We were told the manager would come over re the drink order. He never did… Dining floor was strewn with food and paper. Bathroom had no soap. Manager walked around (slowly)with his fly open. Both steaks were ordered medium rare. Served medium well but we just ate them and made the best of it. None of us are going back to this specific restaurant in this chain.

This was a Mother’s Day brunch. There is not a special menu for the day, but rather there’re normal dinner and luncheon menu. The wine list had enough variety and depth for connoisseurs. They offered a excellent selection of beef and other dishes. I thought the food came out well prepared though one of my guest did note that their steak was a little cold Our waitress was engaging. She did not rush us. A few times, she served beverages across the plate of another guest. This was done politely, but not just the same. When the entrées were served, our servers came out all at once and reached across the plates of the other guest to serve. I was handed a hot plate across the place of the guest to my right. I think this was more of a training issue and something done deliberately. Our Mother’s Day special included a nice dessert. This was a nice place to bring my mom for a Mother’s Day celebration.

Another excellent meal. Service was attentive and friendly and cocktails were well made. It’s a pleasure to visit a steakhouse which still offers relatively good value for money in these says of price gouging. Much appreciated and builds loyalty amongst the customer base.

Lots of waiting around, we waited 20 minutes for our table and the place was half empty, waited a long time to place our order , and again to get and pay our bill.

Poor service , steak was not cooked to order and then took 20 minutes to get it back, at which time all the remaining guests were nearly finished with dinner. Fake apologies from our server. No offer a hat so ever for a concession. Bar flies were out of control and ruined two glasses of wine. We asked the server to remove them from the bill, she aids she would but when the bill arrived they were still listed. For the amount of money Hyde Park charges you would expect exceptional service…. Terrible experience, we will not be back.

Worst experience of our many years of going here. Waited 25 mins for drinks and that was AFTER I went to bar myself to check on the glass of wine we ordered. Food was C- and half of it never came out and we waiting almost hour for it. People beside us waited 75 mins and never got their meal so they left. Epic fail. And no one seemed apologetic and accepting of responsibility. For a $380 dinner for four, I expect much better. We supported this establishment all during Covid including 20% tips on carry out. Not impressed.

Wonderful location and ambience. However, we overheard the hosts being very rude and disrespectful to the waiting staff. Our waiter was friendly but stretched thin; this negatively impacted our dining experience. Lastly, the food was room temperature, poorly seasoned, and the drinks were disappointing. For the time and money, I do not recommend Hyde Park for an enjoyable dining experience.

I didn't enjoy my Ribeye after i left. I asked for Medium and it was medium well. Our waitress was great as she actually asked to check but it was on my to speak up and i didnt. I only really thought about it once i left and i was a bit sad. Also the place is much larger and better looking than i thought but once we got there and was seated, we didnt get a chance to look around so that was a miss. We went to a steak join expecting to be more business professionals settings. which i am sure the guest were but there were more families and kids than we would ever imagine. First time i have saw that in a steak house but i guess Birmingham is sort of a small neighborhood...so that would be the case. Service in most places in Michigan is not good but our waitress was awesome and i would give it up to her.

Service was very good and the food was excellent!!! Shared the chicken Milanese and it was an amazing portion for each of us . My favorite is the crab cocktail appetizer!!! Delicious!!!!

Our server was outstanding! Greeter was fabulous. It was our first time and was my wife’s bday. They treated her like a queen, explained the menu, seated us in front of the fireplace. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely be back!

Been here many times. The food was just okay for $75 per plate. The cashier overcharged by Visa gift card. The manager tried to smooth over the food issues. I give this visit a 2 out of 5

The service was picture perfect. Our waitress was very attentive to us and keen to details of each of our orders. The ambiance of Hyde park was perfect too.

Such a great dining experience. Went there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and they made it more special. Loved the food, desserts and especially the birthday card signed by their employees :) Highly recommend this place!

Celebrated my husband’s birthday at Hyde Park. He loved the birthday card on the table when we arrived and everyone wishing him happy birthday. The service is impeccable. The food is outstanding.

Awesome experience, great staff, and wonderful food. The crab cakes, calamari, and lobster bisque was delicious for starters. Two 12oz filets and the porterhouse were cooked to perfection. Best steak I’ve had in a while. A couple drinks and the chocolate torte finished the evening off right. Thanks for a great evening.
