Steak was cooked to perfect medium temp, gruyere potatoes were AMAZING, garlic spinach was delicious. Calamari app was also quite good. Server Darren was energetic, friendly and helpful. Overall, one of the better dining experiences I've had in quite some time. Highly recommended!

Very friendly welcome when I walked in. Temperature was cool as it was very hot outside -very comfortable. Served quickly and very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. Also I requested a specific table and they saved it for me when I walked in it was ready. Great overall job !!

As one of the top steak houses in the Detroit area, in a prime location in Birmingham, it was one of our top choices to celebrate my son's 30th birthday. The food was wonderful, but did not leave the impression of a must-return-for-another-dining-experience restaurant. Not for the price, anyway. Service was a little lackluster, lacking the attention and detail that we've enjoyed elsewhere at restaurants charing much less. Water glasses were not refilled one during our dining, nor were the bred or appetizer plates removed prior to salads being served. We had to ask for the wine glasses to be removed and the plates removed, when the main course was being served. We don't mind paying for a wonderful dining experience, but Hyde Park did not live up to our expectations, or provide the value that we have come to appreciate elsewhere. With a few adjustments, and more attention to detail, I'm sure the shortcomings can be properly addressed.

Had a great experience celebrating my nephew's dental school graduation. Melissa the artist is a sweet, attentive server. The mac and cheese was amazing, great texture. Our NY strip was great and the garlic/mushroom topping was yummy. Red velvet cake is huge and delicious.

Your steaks aren't hot, out wagyu style filet was under, we asked for a bump up, the steak came back cold shrunken, black, burned and tough 40 minutes later. We couldn't wait, another hour. Embarrassing. We ordered a crab cake, It was cold, we didn't send it back, ate it. We asked, for another but warmer, you were out of them. I think you're resting your steaks and you shouldn't, it is rested enough by the time your unreliable runners get to, just stop the non-sense, change your policy. Ruth Chris doesn't do that. That 400 degree plate has you eating your whole meal hot or you can let it rest while enjoying the aroma. On top of the whole thing when we just gave up on the whole meal we sent this whole debacle of a steak back and asked for our, we just wanted out. Our plates were cleared out by our excellent waitress Kayla, she put the large plate, with the bad steak, on the bottom only to see that same plate returned by a runner. At that point I wasnt shocked.
