Tea in the Window is an exclusive and unique dining experience of the classic traditional tea in the hotel’s street-level window display on West Georgia Street. Available Mondays through Fridays at 11am and 2pm; $120 per person, excluding taxes & gratuity Reservations required. For cancellation and reservation changes: kindly email HVC.Notch8@Fairmont.com a minimum of 72 hours prior to reservation to avoid a full cancellation fee. *Tea in the Window is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather that might affect your reservation, we will notify you by 9am on the day of your booking with alternate booking dates provided. Guests will be required to climb a short flight of stairs - this experience is not accessible at this time.

This review pertains to the Live Window Portrait event with Meredith Wing on Apr 13th. I knew because it was a Fairmont event that it was going to be divine but MY GOODNESS. Everyone involved treated me like I was a celebrity which made the whole experience have the most special vibe. It was a bubble of enthusiasm, kindness, over-the-top service and warmth and that was before I climbed into a window and was given a platter of treats and a gorgeous beverage. My time with Meredith flew as she was able to hold a beautiful convo with me as she drew the most stunning portrait of me that I will treasure FOREVER. All told - this was a fantastic once in a lifetime experience I am so grateful for. Thank you deeply to every single person involved ❤️

Food great. Catered to special diets. Good value over-all. The water-colour painting was a beautiful gift. All of the servers were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. My only two complaints: the noise level was quite loud, and so it was difficult to have a conversation; and the table clothes were a bit too long and created a tripping hazard. But, overall, wonderful event!

Beautiful ballroom, with live music and an artist was set up, that did watercolour drawings. We had a lovely time for Easter tea. It was a surprise to get a sparking wine/mimosa to start! The extra deserts on the buffet table were amazing. And they had a tea station to try out more teas if we liked. This was the best afternoon tea! And I’ve been to many.

I was honestly underwhelmed. Chicken strips were likely frozen then tossed in sauce. The drinks were too rose-heavy. My friends dish was unappealing to look at. Wouldn’t go again

What a great place to go after dinner at Notch 8. Wonderful drinks and service was amazing. Small rooms for seating makes it a cozy place that is quiet enough to have a conversation with friends.

As part of our family’s Countdown to Christmas, we attended Kringle’s at the Castle, a hidden cocktail bar inside the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver with my family. The Fairmont did not disappoint. The service was excellent and upon arrival, there is a different drink offered as part of their Advent Calendar. Tonight’s feature was the mulled wine, which was delicious. My mother was enthusiastic about the cocktail choices and loved her drink so much, she happily told our server how happy and drunk she is. My son loved the chicken fingers, which sounds basic but it was so good, he ordered it twice. This pop up cocktail bar is a delight and I do hope the Fairmont considers extending this cocktail concept year round. Potential new speakeasy is my holiday wish! Thank you Regina and Mo for your hospitality!

Despite having a reservation our table wasn't ready. They ended up seating us in a small private room away from the main room. It was pretty basic and the server kept forgetting about us. It wasn't the vibrant holiday scene we were hoping for. Took us 2 hours to get a round of drinks and a cheese platter. Not worth it.

We really enjoyed our time at Kringle with two friends. The drinks are pricey but high quality and very tasty. When my husband didn’t like his second drink they even made him a different drink. The appetizer style food was very good as well. We had the garlic pull apart bread(not sure what the spreads were as it wasn’t regular butter and they were just ok)and a chacueterie board. The decor is lovely and very Christmasy too. The music was kind of weird as it went to rap music for several minutes but then it went back to holiday music. The staff are very good though they are very busy. The same 5 of them are there throughout the Christmas season. Great experience that made for a wonderful night out.🎄
