Hopfields specializes in French-fusion locally focused cuisine, 40 tap craft beer wall, a thoughtfully curated wine list and full bar. Boasting a warm inviting atmosphere with cozy nooks to venture into. Often praised for it's elevated but approachable style.

The scratch-made menu offers food ranging from upscale specials, a finger-food bar menu, traditional-fusion French comforts and our Pascal Burger that has won Best Burger in Austin 6 years in a row.

Hopfields has tableside service reservable for dinner in our dining room and patio, as well as a walk-in bar service, so you can customize the experience you want and always find a seat.

Our lunch is a bar-service style that features traditional French sandwiches, salads and snacks.

Brunch has a special menu reservable for tableside service or casual bar-style service; all in a 'not your average too-busy-to-book restaurant' setting. A few brunch classics, but many twists that make the menu scrumptious for everyone.

The server handed me a plate and said everything on that plate is vegan. It wasn’t vegan. They fed me eggs

The special cocktail of the evening was delicious. My husband's entree was lamb with collard greens and he ate every morsel. The greens had a wonderful smoky taste. I enjoyed my pasta primavera. Both entrees had generous portions. The service was attentive and pretty quick. A lovely meal.

Food and service were excellent. However, we were seating outside and had to deal with flies and bees which made our brunch experience less enjoyable.

Food was good. They had no coffee there machine was down so they brewed some very weak, cold, small portion brew that took 30 minutes to go. Asked for hot milk but they said they had no way to heat it up. Not sure how they made French onion soup, which was superb. It took almost an hour and a half to get our food which was a problem. Maybe just a bad day but sub par service although they were very nice. Food was good once we got it. Hope they figure it out they are close but not worth it.

Adore Hopfields! Returned after a few years hiatus and was SAD that they didn’t have their Shaksuka on the menu. Maybe a special in the past?? Instead ordered the Eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint - balanced, beautiful with a perfect hollandaise. Service was just adequate but everything else stellar. Go!

Great lamb chops and salmon. Love the French flavors at this place. My son loves all the beer choices. A little noisy in the back room - two larger parties whooping it up. Smaller rooms are quieter.

Service was terribly slow- crazy for lunchtime on a Sunday. The food was only fine, and for the price ($30 for a deconstructed Salad Nicoise), totally wasn’t worth it. Lunch for myself and two children was $120, and the only item worth the price (arguably) was $10 for the fries. Very nice staff, likely shorthanded, but wait at least 15 minutes to take our order and another 15 for two of our 3 drinks? Not going back.

Decent wine list. The wine turned out to be the best part of the meal. I went with the French basics: French Onion soup and Beef Bourgogne. The onion soup was OK- many places in town are much better (III Forks). Before I was half-finished with the soup, the entree arrived. This should never occur at a French restaurant. The meat was warm (not hot) and the carrots were COLD. The sauce was bland. The meat had too much fat. The servers were all young and didn’t seem to care- no enthusiasm. Will not be back.

We have never had a bad experience at this little restaurant. We took my mom for lunch and sat in the back room which, although lacking in ambience , was very quiet and perfect for her. We had hamburgers and steak frites , and all were delicious.

I can't say enough good things about Hopfields. It has been the go-to restaurant that I take people visiting from out of town for years. The menu is constantly changing, but consistently excellent. The beer selection is vast and also regularly changing. I'm not much of a drinker of hard liquor, but a member of my party last night was very happy with her cocktails as well.

Fantastic service, excellent food and cocktails. The only negatives was that it was quite loud and hard to have a normal conversation at times, and the crepe dessert was very so-so.

We'd visited Hopfields for years, but only for lunch or brunch. We'd get our cars washed at Arbor Car Wash next door on weekends, then step over to Hopfields to eat while we waited. That changed last evening when we had dinner there for the first time. The escargot dumplings were both decadent and exceptional, and the beef tartare was the classic French style. The special lamb shank over polenta and root vegetables was impressive. The cocktails were first-rate, particularly the mezcal margarita. The wine list is relatively short but very well selected, with a good mix of bordeaux and burgundy. Our server Clinton was a real pro. All-in-all a wonderful evening, and we'll be back for another dinner again soon.

Parking can be a little difficult, especially at prime time on a Friday. The appetizers didn't knock my socks off but the entrees, drinks and desserts were incredible. Our service was wonderful.

I'd be hard-pressed to think of a more inviting interior layout for a restaurant than what Hopfield's has done. Our waiter was charming and hospitable. The green salad had the most delicious dressing I've experienced. The confit of duck special was not my favorite--the meat seemed dry--but I've never had duck before so don't have a point of comparison. The crème brûlée was the best my dining partner and I had ever had. I'd go back on a weekly basis if I could!

New Years Day brunch was amazing! I had the English breakfast and it was perfect! The ambiance, the staff, no wait, made for an all around enjoyable experience. I plan to return regularly given it was a first visit for me.
