Located in a historic train freight depot, this location features a multi-season outdoor patio, private event space, and a special installation of guitars from Kalamazoo's own Heritage Guitars. We're a short walk from Bell's, Arcadia, and other downtown breweries and beer bars in this great beer city.

HopCat was founded on the principles of bringing local craft beer a bit closer to the communities we love. We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a range of delicious options.

    The appetizer sampler had many tasty components. The cozmik brownie was so chocolatee and I loved the chewy texture!!!

    Went to dinner with another family, they had our reservation and seated us right away. Prompt service, good drink selections. Had the hangover burger and fries - it was fantastic. Everyone else seemed to love their food. We’ll be back for sure.

    My food was over fried and the cocktails were just okay. Waiter was also not the friendliest or attentive. He was not rude, just seemed like he was rushing our ordering process.

    Great service - we had a 10 top- she did a fantastic job - we all liked the food and variety of beer and drinks - most of us didn’t care for the seasoned fries - would have preferred plain - we will definitely come back - want to try the breakfast/ looked amazing

    We made a reservation, for Brunch, weeks in advance. When we arrived, the hostess was rude. She said “I hope a high—top is ok, because it’s all we’ve got” and walked away. The restaurant only had 2-3 tables seated, at the time. The bartender/waitress was lovely and personable but she was very busy. It took nearly 45 minutes for our 5 brunch meals to be delivered to the table…cold. We were never asked how our meals were. I do not think a cold breakfast sandwich with a side of hash browns should cost $15.

    Great food and great drinks. We had awesome service and a bunch of fun. Only downer was we had a table smack dead in the corner of the Heritage room next to the patio door that people were going in and out of for some reason. The cold and having to stare at the wall wasn’t great considering we had a reservation.

    Just really slow to get food with our party of 6 seated at 12:30 pm. Should not come at 12:30, maybe 12 instead. Took an hour to get our food. I couldn’t eat much before i had to leave.
