We've created a funky environment filled with unique art that pays homage to the city's more psychedelic side. It's completely different from the other HopCat locations -- big enough, but with an intimate vibe. With a small sidewalk patio, we’re located around the corner from the Michigan Theater, Hill Auditorium, State Theatre, Rackham Auditorium, and University of Michigan’s full campus.

We’re known for our award-wining Cosmik fries, which are beer battered, sprinkled with our signature cracked black pepper seasoning, and served with a side of warm cheese sauce. From burgers to tacos, our menu offers a wide range of delicious options.

Great college town restaurant. Appears it needed more help as does everywhere. Great time with my grandkids. Will try a grill cheese sandwich next time.

Good service, but would have been nice to be seated farther away from others (we were masked - nobody else was) - first time there - convenient location (near parking garage and Michigan Theater) - Cosmic Fries were too salty and heavily seasoned for us (we would have liked a little less) - grilled cheese sandwich was really good - Killer Mac & Cheese was good, but not great (better than boxed stuff from home, but not as good as homemade - side portion was enough for us)

This was our second visit to the Ann Arbor HopCat. We will definitely be back. Great food, great service and great atmosphere.

I like this place! Our service was great! The food was good, moderately priced, and served in a timely manner. It was not super busy, went on a Wednesday before an event at Hill Auditorium. We got there at 5:30 pm, had a leisurely meal and were done about 7:15 pm.

My first Hopcat dining experience was great! I definitely suggest getting a reservation online because the wait time would have been a while for us. I love the cosmic fries and chili.

My server never stopped refilling, they were so kind, very fast service for how extremely busy it was. Found my new favorite restaurant to go to! The food was amazing as well!

Kid menu appropriate for children 6 and 8. Excellent beer selection and good food offerings. Met our needs to celebrate a birthday on 1 January.

Our service was great and so was the food. Our table was just outside of the kitchen door so very busy with all good being run past us. It’s the only reason it isn’t a 5.

Not great, food was just ok, some not hot enough. Drinks did not come fast enough and place was not ultra busy. Just ok, many better places to go.

First time and loved the food! Such a wide variety of food on the menu - including lots of vegan and GF options. Next time I’m in Ann Arbor, heading back!

We enjoyed the cowboy burger, the meatballs and the jalapeño poppers. The elote (corn dip) was lacking in flavor.

We waited 50 min for our food to arrive and could barely touch it before we had to leave to attend an event. We ordered immediately after sitting and mentioned we were on a time constraint. Our server tried his best. However he delivered salads and we waited several minutes for the dressing to arrive. Not a great experience at all.

We thought this spot would be great since we were seeing a show less than a block away. Got there early 5:30 for a 7:30 show, order taken relatively quickly but food took forever to arrive. Noticed tables sat after us got their food before us. Had hoped the staff would be used to the rush due to shows, but also baked in extra time. In the end we were scarfing down our food to make the show ontime.

Food is very good, wonderful options for beer selection but very very slow service so you have to wait a long time for a beer (20 minutes in this case) and to put in an order was then another 20 minute delay after beers came. Was not sure if it was due to staffing shortages or not as seemed like there were lots of staff and the place was not very busy. Not sure.

The host was rude but the waitress was doing her best. She looked a little over worked. We arrived and they told us that my reservation was not there and they did not have room for my party. Eventually they found it but that did not excuse the rudeness from the host at the stand. The mac and cheese was served a little under like warm, but all the other food came out hot. The tacos that did not list onions had onions on them and that was an issue for a party member that was allergic to onions. Again the waitress was doing her best and we appreciated the time she took for us.

We had reservations before a concert. We were seated and waited on quickly once we arrived. Our server was great and the food came out fast! Our drinks from the bar were a little slow but the place was packed. The food was good. We’d definitely go back.

We really enjoyed our food. The service was lacking in a major way. The server did not hide the fact that she did not want to be there. The place was empty too, so it's not like she was busy. We were bot offered refills on our beverages. She did not offer any suggestions on the beer when my husband asked for a certain beer. It was disappointing.

The food was good, staff members were nice. I am a 100% foreigner who are not familiar with bars in the States. However, I feel really nice of this restaurant.
