Holm is inspired by nature and our surroundings in the beautiful South West of England. We are driven by provenance, sustainability and warm hospitality. Our aim is to serve delicious food and drinks in a casual yet refined environment.

The food at Holm will be driven by the seasons, the environment and our locality in the beautiful Somerset countryside. We work with local farmers, growers, butchers, gamekeepers, fishermen and anyone who shares our love of exceptional ingredients, treated with care and respect.

Our wine list is focused, well-chosen and sensibly priced with low intervention, organic and biodynamic wines from small artisanal producers.

We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and were welcomed warmly. The service was excellent and the timing of the meal brilliantly judged. The chef’s menu was a great choice with a varied selection of very tasty dishes. The lamb course was exceptional. Our only slight reservation was that the tables were a little too close together.

This is a restaurant whose team has a clear vision of what they want their diners to experience. Luckily for the diners, they have the skill to achieve it, and I have no doubts their ambition will lead to awards. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the culinary journey of tastes and textures that the Chef's Menu took us on. From arrival, we felt warmly welcomed, and the smiling and enthusiastic front of house staff were a plus to the ambience all evening. The service was never rushed, and at no point were we left waiting for the next dish. Each course came timely and was a fresh mouthwatering vision. The menu changes weekly according to what is in season and at its best, which also means new experiences for regular visitors. Every dish we had would be a highlight elsewhere, but on this evening the standouts for us were the cured trout with peas and elderflower, that was like a stroll through an English garden, and the Hogget, with yogurt and red pepper. Each of the three hogget portions showed a different way to highlight the extra flavour that comes from this older meat, and each succeeded, but the belly portion was a true revelation. As well as each dish being well balanced, the overall effect of all the small portioned courses left us both fully satisfied, with smiles of contentment that are still there two evenings later. Little touches throughout the evening reminded me of Michelin Starred restaurants I visited last year in Italy, and I would not be surprised if Holm were to join them in the next issue. The final thoughtful touch was on the bill. There was no charge for the still or sparkling water we requested for the table, instead a £1 donation to Water Aid was the perfect final touch of feel-good seasoning. We have already recommended Holm to friends and family and will definitely be returning soon.

great food especially fish. good portions not over faced with potato brilliant staff very efficient not pushy. fourth visit and each one surpasses the previous. wine good value but a little bland . carafe great idea for couples. don't change and thank you

I visited as a party of 6 and we opted for the chef’s menu including the drinks pairing. The food was delicious/faultless and they were happy to adapt a couple dishes for a slightly fussy party member. My only slight critique would be the service relating to the wine pairings, on 2 courses the wine arrived after the food and after we had queried where it was. Other than that I have no complaints and would happily re visit and enjoy that incredible food once again.

Delicious and unusual food with excellent service from our red haired waitress. Could do with seat pads on the wooden chairs for a more comfortable experience!
