Host told us they needed the table after 1 1/2 hours even with a reservation. They are turning tables. We felt very rushed.

I absolutely love the atmosphere at this nascent gem on the UES. The food is delicious, and the wine selection is on par. I will absolutely return.

Food was excellent. Sadly though, we had a 5:15pm reservation and they had already sold out of French onion soup and the French dip wasn’t being offered. Gem salad and burger 10/10. Gorgonzola garlic bread was great! Servers were all so nice. Space was ehh. Tables feel so low to the ground and a little cramped.

We had the most delicious meal! The staff was lovely and let us take our time. The hamburger was honestly the best I’ve ever had, and the martinis we ordered were fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!

Food was generally well-prepared but overpriced and uninspiring (for example, the spaetzel and hen of the woods mushrooms served with the roasted chicken were soggy and felt disconnected from the dish). Service was slow and the restaurant was VERY loud, to the point where I could barely hear my husband across the table. Not a place for a relaxed dinner. There are much better places in the UES for the price and with better ambiance.

Noise level untenable. Shrieking conversations. It was an uncomfortable experience. When you pay a premium for the food, you should be able to have a conversation.

Excellent service from beginning to end. We’ve dined here only 3 times previously, yet the staff always treats us like VIPs. Their kind, attentive, personal service is always so refreshing. Our table’s drink orders were admittedly tedious on our part, yet our drink order was received without any questioning and they were delivered surprisingly fast. And they were fabulous. The food is consistently amazing, and this meal was no exception. I especially love the Tuna Crudo appetizer. So refreshing each time we’ve ordered it. Kudos to management and the full team. We’ll be seeing you again (very) soon!

The food was amazing, but that’s about it. The service was terrible, they never checked on us and we waited over an hour for our food. We waited almost a half hour just to be seated when we had a reservation and were exactly on time. For the price I expected much better.

The service and ambiance were absolutely exceptional, and honestly that may be what brings me back. This is a modern day upscale twist on American cuisine, and it didn't blow me away. Their famous Gorgonzola garlic bread was delicious, however besides that, it was sub par. The food is extremely overpriced for burgers, chicken, and salad. I commend this restaurant for its attempt at "high class dining," but I wouldn't spend $30 on a burger and fries.

Nice restaurant in the upper east side. A bit tight when you walk in but it opens up towards the back. The service was excellent. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. The food was very good. I was surprised how good the cheesesteak was. If it wasn't so expensive I would be giving this place 5 stars. They charge way too much for a loaded baked potato ($16) and garlic bread ($18). I would go again but would avoid appetizers and side dishes.

Delightful server- food was tasty- wont blow your mind but it was very good- simple in the best possible way and delicious Crowded and noisy but good vibe- decent price point for these crazy priced inflation days! Would def return!

Loved our experience at Hoexter’s! Came with a group of 6 people, we all loved everything about it- from the incredible bottle of wine and delicious food to the great atmosphere and service. Can’t wait to come back!

We celebrated our 2nd year anniversary here! Great food, drinks and ambiance. They kept us up to date on when food was coming out when there was a delay. Love this neighborhood spot and definitely will be back. :)

Gorgonzola garlic bread was amazing. Didn't care for the broccoli leaf salad but I think it was a texture thing for me. The roasted chicken had the most amazing crispy skin. Steak frites was a little pricey but it was cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. Ice cream sundae was a slam dunk. Service was impeccable!! Add Hoexters to your must try list.

The food here was wonderful!! We came for Easter brunch. I was looking forward to the burger, and it did not disappoint! The drinks were delicious, and the service was wonderful! We’ll definitely come back!

Our entrees took a ridiculous amount of time to be served. I asked the waitress two times and she said they were about to come out and we STILL had to wait an unacceptable amount of time. It put a damper on the meal. They should have sent us over a drink or dessert since we waited for that extended period of time.

Everything was great food and service-wise, but there were 3 girls sitting at the end of the bar who appeared to be extremely intoxicated. They were so loud and kept dropping silverware, slamming dishes, etc., that it was impossible to enjoy myself. It was extremely unpleasant. The restaurant shouldn’t allow this behavior for the sake of other paying customers. Unfair.

Everything about Hoexters was fabulous. The restaurant is lovely. Buzzy but not too loud. Food was fabulous as was the staff. We will definitely be going back (assuming we can get a reservation ). Hard to come by and I see why. Fabulous addition to the UES.

The experience wasn’t great. I was pretty disappointed by our table. I had my back to a service area near the bar and my chair was kicked, drinks were spilled, and the wait staff crowding the area as we waited for drinks. The food was only okay. The garlic bread and duck were good. Burger was only okay. Can’t say I’ll be rushing back.

I suggest you don’t offer the bar as reservations. It’s not the same experience. It’s a waiting area the bartender. Besides, Stephen was terrible. Also mention the calamari is fried.

I sent 2 clients here for a birthday dinner and wow were they impressed! This elevated experience started off with their signature Grandma Terry cocktail (served with creme fraiche and a caviar pump) followed by their signature burger and pork milanese. Thank you for taking such great care of them and special shout out to Marta for being so attentive to them! I will definitely be sending more clients there because I know they will be well beyond taken care of.
