I read reviews online and decided to try Hideout. It was fantastic. Our server was great and all 3 of our entrees were exceptional. We ordered the ahi bowl, vegetable bowl and short ribs and all 3 were amazing we would definitely go back!

We had a large group of 10 and two of the entrees came out way after the rest of the table had eaten. I’ve been here many times and this wasn’t a good experience.

Amazing service. Best ever in all the times we’ve come. We keep coming back whenever we’re in town. They were super accommodating but mostly they were kind, it’s hard to come by these days.

Wonderful time enjoying cocktails and appetizers to beautiful music in a tropical and lovely setting. We went on a Monday evening and the musician, who is a regular, turned classics and fun songs into her own awesome versions. Very talented. They also offered one of my favorite champagnes by the glass, Domaine Carmelo's, and my husband enjoyed their version of a Mai Tai. These went well with the crab/ahi cakes and egg rolls. Finished off the evening with the delectable chocolate bread pudding!

Good ambience and food with live music, would go back. Originally tried seating our party of 10 in lounge seating instead of a standard dining table. They were a little apprehensive but eventually got what we asked for

We ate here on the first night of a four night stay at the hotel attached to this restaurant (The Laylow) but didn't have a great experience, and didn't return. We were seated without menus (and without explanation by the hostess) as this restaurant is still on QR codes, which is fine, except the open air restaurant was exceptionally windy and our QR code had blown away. Eventually our waitress arrived and we explained we had no menus and she brought us a new QR code. The Mai Tai's were alright but when our two entrees arrived one was cold and the other had hair in it. The waitress was kind enough to replace the entree with hair and also not to charge us for it, but based on this experience and with so many other places to eat in Waikiki, we didn't feel the need to come back here for any more meals during our stay.

My husband and I were welcomed by two lovely hostesses as soon as we walked in. We snagged a cozy spot on the patio by the bar, where our server Jerrod treated us like old friends - so warm and attentive! The live music made our first visit to the Hideout extra memorable, and let's not forget those incredible Mai Tais - they were a delightful surprise! Can't wait to come back!

Flew in from MT. Looked like a nice place to have a cocktail and listen to some music. The performer was Izik and he was amazing. He plays every Thursday and definitely recommend. The espresso martini was on point and a must get. The HFC chicken was great and the fries had a spicy kick to them. Pork tacos were good too. Great place and vibe. Hostesses were extremely friendly.

We are locals on a staycation in Waikiki! Food was delicious served by Shelby who was an attentive, fun, friendly and efficient server!! Great live music! Excellent ambiance! Really cool and hip hangout!! Loved it!! We’ll be back for sure!!!

Hideout Review This review is long overdue. My wife and I live here in Waikiki and have been coming to the Hideout for several years. The food, atmosphere and service has been consistently great time and time again. The vibe is hip and modern while still maintaining an Island feel. A special shoutout to Kamana, Kalei, Sarah, Brie, Cassidy and Sienna (sorry for any misspellings). This team and the rest of the staff are some of the best in Waikiki. The live music is second to none with amazing talents like Chris Salvado, Freddy Leone and Melanie & JROQ. Highlights on the menu include the Hideout Mai Tai (arguably, the best Mai Tai in Waikiki), Kalua Pork Egg Rolls, Shrimp or Crab Dumplings, Mo’ Bettah Burger (best Burger in Waikiki), Short Ribs, Smoked Pork Tacos and ending on the Espresso Martini and Chocolate Bread Pudding. The breakfast options and experience is just as consistent and well worth your time and money.

Saw this place got high reviews and decided to give it a try on a recent neighbor-island trip. Ordered the hideout eggs benny with kalua pork and laylow breakfast with portuguese sausage. Food and drinks were standard, nothing to write home about. Service was rushed with server taking our drink order seconds after sitting with no chance to even look at the menu. Put my fork down and server asked to clear my plate. Also, the check was brought out to us without asking if we wanted anything else, like another drink, coffee or dessert. Food was mediocre at best, service felt like we were at a fast food diner and entire experience lacked hospitality and Aloha you'd expect from any hotel establishment in Waikiki. I would recommend other breakfast/brunch spots over this place such as eggs n things, yogurstory or sweet e's cafe which are known for volumr/high table turns but still gives better service and quality food for similar pricing.

The live music, dj after dark and waiter were phenomenal!! Also love being able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. The temperature was a bit cooler at night and the hostess noticed I was cold and brought me a towel to wrap around myself! The service was just 10/10 and I would recommend to a friend!

We had a great dinner with friends. The food was exceptional! Service was top-notch. There was a large catered event going on when we arrived. The staff did a great job making us feel we we as valued as the huge party. We will be back!

The mo bettah burger wasn't, well, mo bettah! The flavor wasn't th same that we remembered previously! The entertainment was amazing!

We went on their live music night and it was excellent. The appetizer was good the dinner was good and the drinks were good. If I had to pick something to complain about it would be that their bar is very busy so it takes a while to get your drinks. Otherwise a great experience and would go back again.
