We require a 48-hour notice for gluten-free & pescatarian requests. We can *not* accommodate vegetarian, vegan, dairy-free or seafood-free diets. Our most recent menu can be viewed on our website. Our menu is seasonal, and subject to *daily* changes.
Heritage Restaurant uses sustainable meat, fresh seafood, and Farmers Market produce. We are certified blue, green, and maintain a zero-waste kitchen. Heritage is family owned and operated by Chef Philip Pretty and sister Lauren Pretty. Our lively indoor dining room was built in 1922 as a craftsman house. Walk inside to an open kitchen, request bar seating to watch us cook over a live fire Santa Maria grill. Located in the Rose Park neighborhood of Long Beach on the corner of 7th & Saint Louis Ave. Newly awarded Michelin Star and green star in 2023. Just doin our own thing out in Long Beach.

We love Heritage, I keep an eye out for menu changes, and we always get dressed up and make an evening of it. We want to support this level of dining experience in Long Beach. Food presented artfully with amazing quality, bursting with flavors that can be differentiated, subtle undertones, nothing overpowering another ingredient, all ingredients complementary. I'm a texture person also, I've always enjoyed that part of the Heritage experience. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, warm, but not intrusive. Great evening provide by Heritage once again. Appreciate your teams efforts to provide our experience.

This restaurant is a Long Beach treasure. The food is original, incredible, and thoughtful. Service is kind and real. It really was a near perfect dining experience. While it may seem pricey, it is truly a value. That Michelin star deserves another. Great work. PS I miss the lunch sandwiches.

Beyond an amazing meal - we are so lucky to have Heritage in the LBC. Everything was top notch and we couldn’t have had a better time.

We parked down the street because we decided that Valet wasn’t for us. Restaurant is a reimagined house on the corner of a street and the intent is probably to make it look homey and welcoming. We approached the house and walked up a few stairs to the hostess podium right outside the front door. The hostess was welcoming, she said hello before taking another couple back to their table and carried herself quite professionally, acknowledging the soy allergy we noted in the reservation. We were seated promptly at a two top in the middle of the second room, even with its location the table felt detached. We sat down, given menus - pre fixe. Shortly after we were greeted by our server Risa, she offered water and drinks. The tasting plates came at intervals of approximately 20 minutes. Every staff personnel was quite attentive and we were given utensils for each new plate. We opted out of the wine pairing and bought a bottle of Cab. We have enjoyed our experience and wanted to share it. Hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as we did. We advise against bringing small children or babies, this is a dating spot and the menu is not built for children.

A truly exceptional meal that exceeded our (high) expectations. Each dish was among the most inventive and delicious that we have enjoyed in quite some time. You know you are at a special place when foods you hate (beets) and disfavor (scallops) rival your favorites (Iberico pork) for the best dish of the night, which ultimately went to the ridiculously delightful dessert (blood orange froyo with candied kumquat granita). The wine pairings also were well executed. Add in the effusive, but refined, service and you have a flawless experience.
