Over all super cute experience. The food has so much flavor and story. So fun to eat and drink and hang out there. Our server was so kind and helpful with guiding the meal and so patient with two silly girls at dinner. Love a small plate restaurant!

The food is innovative and delicious. The owner greeted us warmly and our server was attentive and informative. This is our second time at HLAY and we couldn't be happier. We enjoyed staying there late enough this time to try the happy hour menu and their terrific burger!

The food is always great. The chicken liver and the dry-aged lamb with citrus were standouts. And the cocktails are excellent.

Go for the drinks, but probably not the food. The food seemed hit or miss to us, but more miss than hit. If you do order food, the steak tartar was the best thing we had and actually quite good. That said, the drinks, waitstaff, and ambiance are all wonderful. Our take: have a couple of pre or post dinner drinks, but find somewhere else to eat.

Great as always - casual atmosphere, super hospitality. The food is always innovative and surprising, and a great cocktail program.
