At Hemmingway's Bistro the menu combines classic French dishes with the freshest Midwest ingredients.
The daily specials reflect the chef's love for fresh seafood. Using mostly East-coast seafood flown in from Boston daily, the chef creates dishes like wild mushroom-crusted halibut on horseradish whipped potatoes and roasted sea bass on Caussoulet beans.
There is also a Parisian seafood bar offering towers of Plateau de Fruit de Mer with fresh oysters, clams, shrimp, and lobster.

This is first time I’ve been disappointed. Perhaps staffing issue however very disappointed as I had out of town guest.

I thoroughly enjoyed Hemmingway's. The food was excellent as well asa the drinks. We had shrimp scampi,white fish and steak frites. All were very tasty and generous portions. The service was great despite the crowd. Loved the atmosphere. Felt like I was actually in a Paris Bistro. Will definitelycome again

I have been dining at Hemingway’s Bistro for literally decades. The food is well thought out and expertly presented. It’s a friendly local restaurant and I am never disappointed. Kate was our server. She is excellent with a quick wit and great customer service.

A charming little dining room. The bread was excellent. Our server was very nice. Ordered a dessert that took 35 minutes to prepare when we ordered our meals, so it would come directly after our entrees, as we were going to a play after dinner. We let our server know that. Salad wasn't very flavorful. We both had fish entrees. Good, but not exceptional. Once our entrees were cleared away, our server told us dessert would be out in about eight minutes. We waited another 25-30 minutes. The dessert for which we waited (a souffle) was fine but didn't knock our socks off. The cream that was served with my coffee had turned. Between that and the dessert delay, I would have expected dessert to be comped, but it wasn't. Not likely to go back.

The decor is attractive the service attentive , Two of us had the scallops which were outstanding, but the 2 of us that had the beef Wellington were disappointed. The pastry was soggy, the druxelle tasteless and the beef overcooked. (likely pre-cooked and then reheated.) All the reasons that make a beef Wellington magnificent were missing.

The picture advertised on this website for this restaurant shows the picture of "Fruit de Mer," but this dish is not available for order. It is deceiving as we went there to order this seafood platter. So disappointing. The service is awesome, and the waiter deserves the credit.

A lovely little place that will impress your parents and out-of-towners. Cozy feel, incredible seasonal menus, and a desert menu not to miss. It can get kind of loud during busy hours because it's a small space, but if you time it right, you'll get an intimate fine-dining experience that exceeds expectations!
