Your site allowed me to book a reservation at Helix after the kitchen had already closed, we had just come to the motel after a busy day at an event. Luckily one of your employees was completely understanding and offered complimentary drinks but that was all. massive inconvenience for people that travelled 12 hours down here and do not know the area well.

The online menu was much better than what was actually the case when we were given a printed menu. There were only a few options to pick from compared to what was online. Service was very bad, our meal was given to another table as they ordered the same thing but were seated long after us.

When we first arrived we wandered around as there were no visible staff, and then when the friendly staff appeared we were surprised they seemed to not be expecting us even though we had booked. We chose a booth to sit at and then had to clean the seat as it was not clean. The table service after that was good and the food came quickly and was very delicious. We were surprised though that we had to ask for water half way through dinner as none was provided or offered (we had ordered wine and beer). At a nearby table a lady took her seat and she noticed that her table was not clean. She pointed this out to the waiter who then offered to seat her at another table (rather than clean the table she was already at) which we thought was a bit odd. She got up and moved tables. At the end of her meal she stood up and waited quite a while for someone to attend to her so she could pay her bill. Overall, we understood that perhaps staffing (and customers) were down at that time of the year, but we could see how service could have been improved.

The restaurant was virtually empty when I arrived. The wait staff took more than 15 minutes to take my order and the food, when it arrived 45 minutes later, was cold. I had to remind the wait staff at this time that I was still waiting on the drink I had ordered almost an hour ago. A new meal was offered to replace the cold one and arrived 30 minutes later. The portion was small and I am not a big eater so not reasonable for the price. Wouldn’t recommend.

Had dinner on a Saturday night whilst staying at The Vibe Hotel, Canberra. Upon arriving for dinner we were informed that they only have a limited bar menu on weekends which was disappointing.

Only a about 20 patrons seated,over 25mins for our entrees which was over cooked and tough(grilled prawns),with tables seated after us receiving food before us,our steak for $48 ea was dissapointing, medium/well was still pink,and when sent back to the kitchen,was chewy and dry,,sulky wait staff,this place is not what they " hype " up..

I got the fish and chips which consisted of 3 half fillets beautifully cooked in a lovely crispy batter, alot of skinny well cooked chips, a salad served in a ramekin with a nice light dressing (I wish there had been more!), a wee dish of tartare sauce and a wedge of lemon. I enjoyed my lunch immensely, thank you!

We had a very nice lunch & afternoon. The food was delicious The staff were efficient & friendly Sitting around the fire after lunch was amazing Could not fault anything, would definitely recommend & will be back

We were celebrating a significant wedding anniversary. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and the service timely. Our anniverary was acknowledged with a complimentary bottle of wine. Overall it was a very pleasant and memorable experience. We shall certainly return at the first opportunity. Thank you.

Staff made themselves look busy but were inattentive to my and other tables. Entree was missing components described in the menu, mains was not cooked to specification, poorly presented and not value for money, fries were lukewarm, desert underwhelming. I had to wait for my bill, couldn't attract attention so waited at the front of house to pay. The restaurant was not busy. Only positive was food came out of the kitchen in a timely manner.

The service on Saturday evening was poor, it took over an hour for main meals to come out and plates were not cleaned away without the group requesting it. The meals were overpriced for what they were. I would not return.

It was enjoyable but a table of extremely noisy people in close proximity made it a little unpleasant and we left early. There are two sections to the restaurant and we were placed near the large group, even though there were several sections available in the quieter area. We didn’t complain as wanted no fuss.

The food and atmosphere was amazing. The only reason for four stars instead of five was the service. Maybe we were just unlucky on the night but the bar staff (in particular) clearer didn’t want to be at work, we’re short with people, and they mucked up our drinks order twice. That won’t stop us going again.

The restaurant didn't even now we had a booking and were surprised that tables could be booked through Open Table!!!!!! Had to wait while they got a table ready for us.

We love to give the Chef and their staff our best compliment. The 3-courses meal was deliciously designed - fresh quality ingredients & nice platting. Excellent presentation for each dish from the Charcuterie board to the main. The chicken and the beef were cooked to the perfection- moist & tender served so well with the tasty Dutch carrots. The Petit Fours were beautifully decorated & nice as our expectation. We enjoyed our night with good food and good bottle of the sparkling wine.

On a positive, the waiters were enthusiastic. However they lacked some basic training, e.g plates were put in the middle of the table knives and forks were on wrong side. Food was ok, but more like a ordinary pub meal. Menu was very sparse, however we did find an excellent wine. Overall, there is a bit of work to be done.

Where to start? Ok we were seated by the barman come waiter at 6.30pm who then produced 2 short order menus which showed hamburgers,pizza,battered fish and few more options if I wanted a hamburger or pizza for dinner I would have gone to McDonalds or Pizza hut. Then they mentioned that are running a limited menu but no where on the hotel website does it say that as actually it is a totally different menu that is why we we chose that place. Then the waiter said he cannot make cocktails as he doesnt have all the ingredients.I asked what the pizza of the day was which was meatlovers.I said I dont eat pork can I swap it for hawaiin? Again the response was no we dont have the ingredients .Anyway margaritta was the chosen pizza also battered fish ,however do not leave the seeds in the lemon wedges as it is a sign of a lazy chef and when you squeeze the lemon the seeds fly out.Again atleast put on the hotel webiste that the menu showing there is not no where near close as what as is shown on the night.

Wait time of over an hour just for my orange juice and the food was almost 1 hour and 15 minutes. Staff seemed to have no idea what they were doing. I would never come back here again. The toast was like eating cardboard.
