For party sizes of 1-6 you can walk in and dine with us at your leisure -- no reservation is required.

Hazy is a locally owned and operated restaurant that was created for families and large groups to casually gather over great food and drinks. While we are a fast casual (order at the counter) restaurant, we offer an elevated experience with 36 taps, a full bar, top of the line stemware and frozen beer glasses.

Upon arrival, please see a manager who will seat you. You can then return to the counter to order for your group either individually or family style!

2022 & 2023 Best Barbecue in the East Bay by Diablo Magazine. Our barbecue technique parallels Texas style; smoked meats with signature dry rubs over oak wood fires. We also offer a variety of delicious salads, fresh vegetable sides and many unique options for all ages, diets and lifestyles. We offer catering services throughout the entire Bay Area.

I’ve been here before and it has always been great but this time they had run out of ribs and I ordered the nachos with shredded chicken. The chicken was so chunky. I tried one piece which was too chewy, and I could not eat any of it. It was so terrible. The only thing I guess is that I had some points to redeem so I didn’t pay for the nachos per se. I also told the manager when I was on my way out and she was very kind about apologizing. Otherwise, they had great drinks in the atmosphere was great. I had gone here to watch the game.

It’s a cafeteria. You order bus your own tables get your drinks napkins cutlery you have to keep going back. When you order there is a screen prompting a tip. Here’s the tip. Get a waiter or waitress. Food was not good bbq. Others than that it was ok. I’d never go back

We reserved a table for fifteen and they were great. Very accommodating and patient with our highly disorganized group. They made group ordering of food and drinks super easy. Highly recommend for group events.

Went to Hazy BBQ after my daughters concert performance and to watch the game. Hazy was very accommodating to our large group (it was a bit cold and windy Sunday to sit outside so we asked to move inside). We had a great time and the food was great.

We came to watch the 49 game and loved the fun ambiance, raffles at every quarter and a big win at the end. The re-vamped pulled pork nachos are a must have!

Very chaotic, busy and hard to get good service. Had to order inside, then had to follow up as food was missing. The kitchen closed a few minutes before 8:30 and some of us were still hungry. I am not sure I would return.

We celebrated my son’s 30th birthday and Hazy did an excellent job of making sure everything went smoothly. Everyone absolutely loved the food. Since we had a lot of people we had our own buffet, which worked out so well. The staff was terrific. Everyone had a great time! Highly recommend.

One guest requested a taste of a beer before ordering. Waitress didn’t ask bartender. He was “busy”. Then don’t offer taste. Monk fruit ordered. Was informed MUCH later they were out. Substituted kale salad that was inedible. Brussel sprouts were too hard and undercooked to the point the forks would not go in. Giant sprouts need to be quartered, parboiled, drained, then sautéed. Otherwise, they are green round rocks. Another guest ordered the burnt ends to find out LATER they were out. Food was ok and cooked rapidly in the outdoor evening 52 degree weather. We had to get our own “to go” boxes. Sprouts and monk fruit removed from bill but waitress acted like it was a favor until payee explained—THE ITEM (monkfruit) NEVER ARRIVED!! The pic is of the women’s restroom that makes one wonder about the cleanliness/hygiene in non-visible areas of the establishment.

Can here on Mother’s Day. The wait staff was not prepared and they were short on cooks. Table was dirty on arrival, food came cold, wait was incredibly long for a basic breakfast.

Really understaffed, so I don’t blame the staff for the poor service. They were doing the best they can and I am sure once they are able to get fully staffed service will be much better. We have catered with Hazy BBQ, we love the food. Great outdoor seating.

Very poor quality BBQ. the whole thing tasted like black smoke, done by an incompetent pit master . They just changed to full service, but they clearly haven’t gotten their stuff together. Premium price for cafeteria food.

All was good overall. The pulled chicken sandwich and beets were great! The price very reasonable. The service a little iffy. I think a bit distracted. Will go back again.

We liked our food and the outdoor patio is really quite comfortable. They have very unique salads. And the serving portions are good sized. We had a nice brunch. This would have been a 5-star rating except they did not have any beef ribs available for service at that time. We came here expressly to try the new item they announced via an email to me - an additional beef rib item. They have had the big 'Dinosaur Bone' beef rib available on weekends. This new item was also supposed to be available only on weekends. But, the Sunday we were there, they did not have either beef rib. Jim

The Food was average. I had the BBQ plate with burnt ends, brussels sprouts and garlic bread. I found the BBQ sauce was bland, the meat was no longer warm when it arrived at the table, the garlic bread was soggy with butter or oil. the pickles and pickled onions they garnished the plate with were great. The Service was average. Our server was fun, professional, and generally efficient. She was training a new server and had her hands full, our order came out wrong. Someone else had paid our bill when we asked for the check, so we then had to wait while they sorted that out. The atmospheres was fun but a bit loud. Nothing really to recommend about this place.

I ordered the brisket. I’ve had it in the past. Then it was served warm and cooked evenly without over cooking. Last night it was over cooked and cold. The tangy coleslaw lost its previously good flavor. The garlic bread was rock hard. Both pieces.

Really liked the ambiance of Hazy BBQ, modern yet comfortable. Glad I was able to make a table reservation online for 3 of us as it was a busy Friday night. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and service was great. Enjoyed the cauliflower appetizer, pulled pork and tri-tip. Not a fan of the “Burnt Ends” beef cut( kind of dry) but will be back to try other menu items. Great place!

There are no healthy food choices. I ordered beets as a side and they tasted canned, not fresh. The food is heavy and greasy. Also, we had a reservation but when we got there, we were confused about where to go to check in. We were told to sit anywhere, seating was open. So then why take reservations?
