Welcome to Hazelwood.
Hazelwood is your favorite neighborhood spot, tucked in the beautiful Tonka Bay area. With a scratch kitchen that offers wonderful dishes from our rotisserie and wood burning pizza oven, everyone is sure to find a new favorite! We are open 7 days a week for lunch Monday thru Friday from 11-4 and dinner from 4-close, and with our signature brunch offered on Saturday and Sunday. Hazelwood is the perfect spot for your work meeting or special event, date night, or family outing! We hope to see you in soon!

When I checked in with hostess for my reservation for 2 there was another party checking in for 2 that did not have a reservation. The hostess seated the other party before me in a booth in the bar that I would have preferred over the table we sat at in the Gideon Bay Room. I would have thought the host should have asked me if I wanted the booth in the bar before they sat someone who did not have a reservation. The food was warm, not hot - which was disappointing.

The food was good and tasty and showed some creativity. I would describe it as Road House fare rather than fine dining. Service was excellent and the prices were reasonable.

It was very loud and busy. We waited 15 minutes after being seated to have our server come to our table. I ordered a chicken pot pie and what I got was creamed chicken with peas and carrots and a piece of puff pastry floating in the middle of the bowl.

Wonderful food and service as always. My mom and I always get the walleye. And after 5 PM at the Excelsior location ONLY, you can get complimentary homemade pop overs with wonderful whipped, honey butter, such a treat !!!!!

Wait staff initially a little chilly but she may have just been busy. Food was pretty good, as usual. Salmon cooked perfectly, shrimp pasta on point. Wish they'd include a bread basket or some of the fabulous popovers they used to serve. The martini was perfection.

The total bill was outrageous. None of the 3 of us drank alcohol. Two of us had entrees , the third a salmon bowl. Five non-alcoholic drinks. Three desserts and one coffee. With a generous tip the bill came to about $240.00. Even in Tonka Bay on a Sunday afternoon that seems unreasonably high. And, even with the moderately good food and nice waitperson we will not return. I would recommend Hazelwood - Tonka Bay to friends but with additional information about the cost etc.

There were 4 of us and we went for dinner. Happy hour had started. We had a mix of happy hour items and food ordered from the menu. ‘All’ of our food was very good. The walleye fish and chips may be the best I’ve had. Service was good despite being busy. This is our 3rd time at Hazelwood and the 3rd time everyone ‘really! enjoyed their food.

Nice setting and decent service. Monkey bread was great, but hollandaise on eggs Benedict was pretty tasteless, which was disappointing since food is typically quite good.

This is one of our favorites! Whether it’s lunch, brunch or dinner it never disappoints! Staff is always friendly and on top of it. Food is always amazing. I highly recommend checking it out!

Lobster bisque was served lukewarm, prime rib was also luke warm, but both were delicious. Fish & Chips -A+ generous helping. Relaxing dinner. Will definitely return soon.

Food was very good. The fish and chips were a little greasy and limp. Would have liked them more crispy. Personal preference. Great service.
