Our Express menu is now available during lunch in our private dining room, The New Yorker Room. The Express menu features a selection of our well-loved Hawksmoor classics - like our 35 dry-aged rump steaks, vegetarian options, and sustainable seafood, with options to suit every dietary requirement. Enjoy two courses for £25 or three for £28, Wednesday - Saturday, 12-3 pm. The room itself celebrates links between Liverpool and New York, including one of the building’s architects, Herbert Rowse, amongst other famous Liverpudlians who crossed the pond and made New York their home. This experience is ideal for large midweek lunch bookings with colleagues or friends while enjoying that extra privacy.

Not the best experience for my first visit. Being given 2 options for the cooking of the meat, pink or well done?- I assumed asking for ‘pink’ meat that it would be tender like rare steak usually is. Unfortunately I couldn’t eat any of the meat because it was tough. I wear dentures and I eat rare steak a lot. The meat here wasn’t the best at all. I won’t be returning after wanting to come here for over 12 months. What a disappointment

We came here for our son’s birthday, from the minute we got there everyone made a fuss over him, which was so nice. The food was fantastic, waitress was lovely and answered all our questions. Would highly recommend x

The service was outstanding, the waitress was so knowledgeable, efficient and just great! The food was just average. With a total bill coming to over £200 (2 courses each) We were expecting a little more wow.

Quickly sat down at our table following our arrival. Booth type Table was a bit cramped for the five of us and a leg of the table was positioned so an uncomfortable leg space for some. Food was excellent and enjoyed by all. We had informed on booking that we were celebrating Our Silver Wedding Anniversary but received no acknowledgement at all.

We chose the lunch menu including cocktail food was lovely and cocktail very good too and staff so friendly and professional also had a drink in bar beforehand also a very pleasant experience will definitely go again.

Hawksmoor is amazing. We arrived a little early and had a drink at the bar , Food beautiful service really good and attentive. We did not agree with the service charge and we chose to leave cash for a tip.

Great food and friendly staff. Had to remind staff that we hadn’t had our wine, to be told “no worries I’ll get it” but no apology. Just a little thing I know but easily fixed.

We obviously made a mistake choosing a Saturday to visit. Clearly the kitchen and front of house were struggling in a very noisy and hot room with too many tables and covers for the size and resources. Two out of four main courses were inedible - the chips were reheated, we were served on cold plates and it took ages for the food to arrive. It is expensive - especially the drinks - but if it’s good, you don’t mind. This wasn’t good. To be fair, we didn’t pay for the two awful meals - a complaint was quickly acknowledged and the offer made. A sure admission that they knew they had let customers down. A real shame. We won’t return. There are too many other really good places in the north west to eat to risk a repeat here.

Wouldn't recommend Liverpool site - go to the Manchester one if you can instead as its miles better! Issues with food being undercooked and/or cold, and melted ice cream Sunday for dessert. Can't believe the server brought it to the table to be honest! Also our table wasn't ready until 20 minutes after we arrived and the bar area was so busy we were left standing against a wall without a menu and no way to order a drink (it's table service).

Went off the set menu - Starters and dessert were great but the steak was terrible! Sent it back once, came out again still bad - chewy, tough and fatty. For a steak restaurant, surely all steak that goes out should be decent - whatever the cut!

First time here and very impressed. The set 3 course meal was very good value. Quality of food was very good although the peppers that came with my fish main were a little bland. Steak was superb as were the starters and desserts. Wines are a bit expensive but we enjoyed our half bottle of Saint Emilion - would like to see other half bottles on offer.

Can’t work out who actually works in this restaurant as the staff have no dress code, so basically all dress like students. Went 27/04/24 afternoon asked for my steak medium received it well done I couldn’t be bothered waiting for another one to be done so refused the return. Would say the hawksmoor is value for money a lot of the drinks are overpriced and also charge for all sides. Have been plenty of times but feel on this occasion wasn’t up to the standards we’ve previously received. I think it’s time to try somewhere else .

Consistently good food with a lively atmoshpere. The kitchen can be a bit slow but the front of house will really make up for it. Very good wine list as well.

Our trip to hawkmoore was really enjoyable. We went for Liverpool restaurant week and the deal was really good. The staff were really nice and helpful. The food was incredible! We will definitely be back when there’s another offer on.

Business dinner with a colleague i had not met for over ten years Waiting staff realised this and gave us plenty of time o order and to eat. Food was amazing as usual and service outstanding Thank you for a wonderful experience and a great evening
