If you live in or around Haberfield, you know full well that diner-style cafe Happyfield makes some of the best pancakes in Sydney. Opened in 2020 by Jesse Orleans and Chris Theodosi, the bright yellow corner cafe serves up amazing food and a genuinely (as the name suggests) happy vibe.     My partner and I finally were able to get a table yesterday to experience Happyfield. After a few attempts, either being booked out or a hour and a half wait. We were very excited to finally get a table. We wanted to have the whole experience, so we both ordered the “happiest meal”. Unfortunately it was really disappointing. The muffin had no flavour and the chicken patty was really pink which looked concerning….although we both really liked the chipotle mayo we could hardly taste it on the muffin. The hash browns were over cooked. The pancakes were the only enjoyable thing about the meal. Although the overall food was disappointing the staff and their service was great. The man on the door was able to seat us 30 minutes earlier than our booking. They looked after us. My partner and I both spent about $40 on our breakfast each we truely believed that the food was going to be worth it and we were super disappointed after our meal. This review is only so that you guys know our honest feedback and not to criticise.

    No idea what kind of drugs the below review is on. But this place was amazing! I’m still craving the muffin I’ll be Ubering it if I don’t have a table!

    The sweet stack pancakes were amazing, best pancakes I have ever had and the coffee was really good too. It was my mum’s 82nd birthday and the staff made her feel special as they all sang Happy Birthday and they put a candle on her pancakes (I didn’t even ask the staff to do that) really friendly staff and great atmosphere.

    Perfect. Every trip to Sydney now involves at least one visit to Happyfield. The food, service and atmosphere are 10/10 every time.

    It's dangerous how close this place is to my house. My wallet is very empty. The food is great, everyone that works there is super lovely and the atmosphere is great ☺️

    Best experience as always, food was sensational, vibe of the cafe was on point staff incredible and went out of their way to make my son feel so special on his birthday. Can’t fault anything love happyfield so much. I’ve been here several times now and each time the experience is standout and memorable. These guys just know what they’re doing.

    Happyfield more than lives up to the hype and it’s one hatted status. The name is well chosen as the bright sunny yellow theme just exudes happiness. It’s cheery and bright. The food, well my goodness, what an absolute treat. I had ‘The Happiest Meal’ as I wanted to try the pancakes and the McLovin’ Muffin and they were both sensational. The pancakes a light and fluffy and the maple syrup with the Pepesaya butter brings a luxury to them. The muffin is outstanding, the folded eggs are so fluffy and the chicken sausage is delish - best breakfast muffin I’ve ever had. And the hash browns are a worthy side. Friendly service and a relaxed vibe rounds off the perfect place to breakfast all day. 10/10 no notes 🥞

    Great modern North American style diner with an Aussie touch. Good service, simple but well made food. Great pancakes, but maple syrup could be a bit stronger in taste in my opinion.

    We drove from Newport on the northern beaches I have been wanting to come since seeing the owners on the cook up on SBS and it did not disappoint we came for breakfast and next time we will come for lunch … coffee was awesome too

    Wonderful experience overall. All food, especially the pancakes, were amazing. Went for my husbands birthday, a the staff came out with a small stack of pancakes and sang happy birthday - an extremely special moment. Only slight drawback was that it was a little warm and noisy, however, could not recommend enough overall

    Love this place! Pancakes are the best! Considering how busy they were, all the staff showed no sign of it - everyone did a great job, can't wait to return!

    The team are so thoughtful. They brought out a candle with my daughter’s pancake and sang happy birthday! They even remembered her name. Such a great place.

    It was my Birthday and a friend took me to brunch. The lovely wait staff clued on it was my birthday and arranged to have a candle with my meal and had the whole team (and some of the customers) sing Happy Birthday. The service is impeccable and the food/drinks are outstanding. Must visit and I will be back 100% Jasmine
