For the first time in the over 50 visits to Hanks, the service was subpar. Two of us ordered an item off the menu, but he ordered the Mother’s Day special of the same item charging $32 more than was listed on the menu. He took off that charge, and I asked him to call my casino host to see about a partial comp. He would not do that. This is the first time a server has refused to do this for me. We have never had this server or his crew before, and I can guarantee you we will never allow them to serve us again. I believe his name was Trevor. Will we go back to Hanks? Absolutely! It is our favorite place to go and family comes to town. We will just make sure we have one of the regular servers that we know and who gives us superior service.

Hanks is a great place for a special occasion. One big beef we have with them is that if we have a dinner reservation, we can't ask for a table at the bar for a bit before, to take advantage of the 1/2 off martinis. You can't get those in the restaurant. I've told the hostesses, but wanted to make sure management knows of this issue.

As usual, our evening at Hanks was memorable. Upon arrival, our party of four was immediately greeted by a hostess and escorted to our table. There, our waitstaff welcomed us and made us feel welcomed and appreciated. Bread, water, and cocktails arrived shortly thereafter, and we were afforded some privacy while we sipped cocktails and discussed our personal events. When ready, Claudio--our lead server--took our order and committed everything to memory! Our dinners arrived and, as usual, were prepared to perfection. The service was without fault. Hanks is an intimate place to dine. One thing about them is that they always make you feel welcomed and a part of their family. We cannot wait to return. Our complements to the team of Claudio, Bo, and Al.

Hank's rarely disappoints us. We celebrated our granddaughter's sweet 16. The waitstaff took great care of us. We love the chateau brignon , which was cooked to perfection! Thank you for making her birthday special!

Luis our server and his team are simply the best. He had great suggestions from drinks to appetizers to dinner and dessert. Luis and his team are hands on, professional, attentive, giving you a five star service experience. To top it off, the food was amazing from the crab and shrimp cocktails to the meatball appetizers. The T-bone and Chateaubriand were superb along with the ribcap and lobster tail special. And then there’s the warm butter toffee cake so smooth and delicious. Hank’s at GVR is always an amazing experience. Highly recommend going to Hank’s and of course Luis and his team! Outstanding!

The service and food were excellent. We were there at 5pm for dinner so while probably less crowded later or on the weekend, it was still well populated. Not as quiet as I would expect but otherwise one of the best steak dinners I have had in a long time.

We made a reservation at 8:15 for our anniversary. We got there a little early so we were waiting at the bar. At 8:30 no one had come to get us to seat us, so my husband went to check with the hostess and she was really rude to him. Our table wasn't ready. We waited until 8:45 and he checked with the hostess again. She was still rude and our table still wasn't ready. We were finally seated at almost 9:00 pm. Our waiter stopped by once to tell us the specials and came back to take our order. All the other tables got hot bread and butter while they waited and we didn't. We waited for 15 or 20 minutes without bread and without our waiter stopping by to check on us. We requested some bread and he said they were very busy and that is why we didn't get any bread. The bread finally came out with our entrees. We had ordered mashed potatoes as a side dish and they were served cold. We asked for some hot mashed potatoes and they took the first order and brought back hot mashed potatoes. Another man/waiter person stopped by and did not tell us who he was. He just asked how things were and my husband said, "Shaky". The man didn't respond and walked around to my side of the table and said, "I'm shaky??" Then I said, "No, my husband meant the service is shaky". Then that guy just walked away without saying another word. Then the manager Brittney came over and asked how things were going. We shared what had happened and she was sorry. She offered a free dessert which we declined because I have type 1 diabetes. Our friend wanted a dessert so he got one. Our bill was $306.70 and we received the free dessert but nothing was removed from our bill after all that. I would not recommend this place to a friend. At that price point, the service should have been 5 star from the moment we walked through the door.

There were a few times where the music became a bit loud, even sitting way in the back. The food was delicious, but pricey. For 7 people, with appetizers, meals, and desserts (appetizers, main meal side dishes, and desserts were “family style”), including one bottle of one and a few cocktails, the meal was over $1000. Not a complaint, just a fact. It was expected given the caliber of the restaurant. If you want to “experience” Hank’s, don’t expect to spend less than $100 a person.

So nice that they thought about my birthday. This is how you recognize good management ! Service by Denise and James was outstanding as well. Tomahawk was great and we really enjoyed the various desserts. Great evening !

Hanks has definitely left a positive impact upon leaving! From the wait staff in the beginning to John our waiter, we was definitely professional and very well personable at the same time! He made my wife and I feel as if we’ve been coming to Hank’s on weekly basis! The food was excellent and prepared perfectly the first time. The quality was pretty solid! The recommended cocktail was absolutely delicious and was made correctly. Nothing but positive feedback for Hanks and the Staff! Thank you.

This is our 5th visit and every time it is PERFECT! It is pricey, as expected, but compared to other high end steak houses it wins every time even on value. This place is well managed and it shows.

We ordered Chateaubriand and it was delicious! Very expensive but a lovely anniversary dinner.

First time dining here and it was very busy on a Sunday night around 6:15pm. Service was great and attentive with 3 separate waitstaff attending to us. The crab cake appetizer was delicious and full of crab without a lot of binder/flour. We each had a steak, cooked to perfection. Excellent wine list. The only thing that really bothered us were a group of 2 couples who were across an aisle from us just laughing so so loudly almost the whole time we sat at dinner....finally gave one of them a "stink eye" look and they finally got it and calmed down. While it's a pricy dinner, it is lovely for special occasions.....just ask for a quieter location.

Once again, we had the 11 oz filet, which was delicious & perfectly cooked. The creamed corn & green beans with almonds were both great. The fried Oreos for dessert was so yummy. Margot was our server & she was very attentive.

We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at Hanks. We tend to eat early so our reservation was for 5pm. We got there and were seated within 5 min. Our serving staff was perfect. Very attentive and patient. Our drinks were never empty, we were not rushed whatsoever, and all questioned we had were answered with confidence. We had the crab cakes (amazing) first then the seafood platter next. We chose the rib eye and wagyu filet. While my filet was perfection, my husbands rib eye was average. Our sides were mashed potatoes, grilled asparagus, and Mac and cheese. All were wonderful. Desserts were just as yummy. We tried the peanut butter brownie sundae, chocolate bar, crème brûlée, and deep fried Oreos. All were scrumptious!!
