We went for the omakase and it was EXTRAORDINARY. I was incredulous that there could be a sushi place this good—let alone an omakase experience like this—in Glendale. But I was surprised and delighted with how incredible everything was. The service was awesome. Our server Steven was attentive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable about what sakes would pair best with the menu. Chef Pham is a genius, and I would follow this man to the ends of the earth. His menu was exquisite. First of all, I did not know that you could come by fish this good in Denver. More than that, the quality of fish would not have mattered if not for the brilliance of its presentation. Each of the (20+!!!) bites was expertly crafted and served in a precise order that set up the next bite. Truly, we have not stopped talking about how much we enjoyed everything. On top of that, I don’t think I can overstate how chill and down to earth the chef is. For me, fine dining can feel intimidating, but being able to kick back, listen to, and eat beautifully crafted food from someone at the top of their game was an experience I won’t forget. Worth every penny!

Okay… first off if you love sushi and love trying new things, this place is for you. I booked this place on a recommendation from a friend. We went for my sister’s birthday who is gluten free and Chef Pham was very accommodating and curated a wonderful selection for us. I love that he loves food and you can see and taste the passion and love in his food. Each tasting is explained. I will say that I do love a good omakase experience and I do love sushi and Chef Pham has ruined (in a good way) my view on these experiences now, lol. Not only was it delicious but coming from the DC it was priced VERY reasonably and worth every dollar. I would have gladly paid more. We had so much fun. If you are on the fence, let this be your motivation to book it! Chef Pham. You rock! Thank you for making my sister’s birthday a night to remember. When we come back to town, we will be back. Things to be mindful of from my experience and talking with others there: 1) If you have ANY food allergies, let them know in advance when you book. The sooner the better. 2) PLEASE be open minded and try what has been curated for you. The chef spends a lot of time in advance looking for inspiration and testing ingredients to make this a unique and special tasting for you. 3) Engage with the chef and you will get sooo much more out of the tasting understanding the thought process, the rarity, the flavors, etc of each piece of fish you try. 4) If you’ve already done one, let him know when you book it. Im sure he’ll be up for switching things up for you. 5) This is a full dinner, appetizer, welcome drink, sushi, and dessert. You will be full but not stuffed. Come hungry and enjoy the experience 6) While at the sushi bar, this is a private dining experience, meaning you have dedicated waitstaff and a bar tender just for you. They are not working other tables so be kind to them and tip what you feel is appropriate.

I have gonexto the location in Lakewwod many times and tried the Glendale location with friends. The Tofu Agedashi was so good! My disappointment was in the freshness of the sushi rolls. They just didn't feel as fresh as I am used to. There was almost a tackiness to the mouthfeel on the salmon. It didnt melt in my mouth like i am used to. Maybe it was in the way it was held. I will still come back. The service was great. Super friendly, professional and on top of everything. The happy hour is a great value though we got a lot of things on the regular menu.

Chef Duy is on fire! He and his team are always so welcoming and the sushi is some of the most creative and interesting in town. It’s a great spot for a date night and absolutely do the omakase if you can snag a spot!

Loved this place!! So hard to find good sushi in a land locked city, but Matsuri is a great hidden gem! The fish was fresh and our waiter, T, was awesome!!

Very good sushi in an energetic atmosphere. It was very busy on a Friday night. We were reserved for the counter but was given a table, which was better in my opinion. The sushi dinner was really great. Our waiter was also very pleasant!

We are frequent visitors to the Hana in Westminster. This location brings sushi to a new level. Nice variety of other dishes besides sushi. I had the Lobster Ramen it was amazing.

Dewy was amazing. Knowledgeable, conversational and made the experience worthwhile. From the managers to staff everyone was attentive and we had a unique experience from the creative sushi to deserts. All made in house, fresh with a special touch we haven’t see elsewhere. Highly recommend. Pricing is $$$ for this experience.

We were excited to celebrate our anniversary here . Got seated at sushi bar and then got ignored for 15 minutes and left . Thank God . Walked over to Jax and had an amazing anniversary dinner . Will pass on this place and stay with our sushi mainstay Ottoto and Izakaya Den where customers are appreciated ! Thank you Jax for a wonderful Anniversary Dinner! If you want loud and no service , go to Hana Matsuri .

My current favorite restaurant. The service is impeccable; friendly, efficient, and professional. And the food is truly outstanding. I have dined here many times and every dish has been rave-worthy. Best miso soup ever. Freshest seaweed salad ever. Tastiest calamari ever. Freshest, most delicious sushi ever. Ask your server for recommendations. These folks are pros!

Disappointed on Christmas Eve- prefer the Lakewood menu, we love the salt stone grill they offer but at this location they don’t have a seafood, even though they have both salmon and shrimp on the menu.

Such a special place! Visiting from Miami & Orlando we found this awesome restaurant. Had dinner here twice. The service is truly friendly but very professional. The food variety provides for all tastes. Our granddaughters loved their Ramen as well as the Teriyaki Chicken and Salmon. We delighted in Truffle Shumai, Blue Fin tuna, Sea Urchin, Toro and their multiple speciality rolls as well as Sake.

The" taste of omakase " option is a brilliant introduction to equally brilliant nigiri. Our omakase items were amazing in taste and texture. Chef Dewey and staff went out of their way to make our introduction to this restaurant most memorable, enjoyable, and delicious. We can't wait to go back.

We just stopped by for the first time and the experience really exceeded our expectations. The service was friendly and the quality of the fish was excellent. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and is modern and clean. We really enjoyed the Osaka style salmon and toro, as well as the king salmon nigiri and magic roll. The green tea crème brûlée was also excellent. Prices were very fair for the quality of sushi. This will be our new go to sushi spot!
