Hana Japan Steakhouse specializes in teppanyaki-style recipes. The menu features grilled seafood items as well as options for landlovers. Try the Hibachi Salmon for a tasty dinner, the popular New York Steak or our newly added House Dry Aged Rib-Eye. Dinner items are served with a salad featuring our special organic Hana dressing, house soup, steamed rice and seasonal vegetables. Hana Japan’s menu also serves gluten-free options, vegan fare as well as a kid-friendly dishes.

Serving the San Francisco Bay area since 1979, Hana Japan draws a local regular crowd and proudly serve during dinner hours. Diners get to enjoy special discounts on their birthdays when they visit with parties of four or more. We are now open for dinner seven days a week. Reservations are Highly Recommended.

I took my son to dinner to congratulate a big win. He wanted steak so we chose Hana's Japan. The dry-aged sirloin was perfectly cooked medium rare and incredibly favorable. As always the show was great. I thought pricing was very fair in these times. I recommend Hana for a family outing or a date night.

Wonderful evening!! From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were met with welcoming comments and smiles. When we checked in, we were immediately asked if we were celebrating a birthday. We were seated immediately where we then experienced what Hana Japan is known for: Great food, great chefs, excellent hospitality, and FUN!!! I have to admit, though, I do miss the bean sprouts!

Birthday celebration for my best friend. Service was a little slow, took awhile to be served. But Chef did well, entertaining and fun. Food well prepared as usual. Hard to understand server, some confusion on Birthday credit. Overall, good experience.

This was an overall great experience. From the time we walked in the door the restaurant staff was kind and attentive. The food was amazing and the ambiance was nice.

Good experience as usual, 2nd time here in last two weeks. Since we were at an earlier time, not a full seating, so a little less entertaining. Thought food was good, had ribeye, not as great as last time, not as tender. Chicken and shrimp very good.
