Located directly on Beacon Street, Hamilton is right in the heart of Coolidge Corner. With 250 person capacity, our restaurant offers a comfortable atmosphere matched with an elevated dining experience. Incorporating elements such as a vintage table designed from wood used on the USS Constitution, and a stained glass window flown over from Ireland – the space is designed intentionally to foster warmth, friendship, and relatability. Established from multi-cultural ownership in both America and Ireland, we’ve incorporated historical elements of each culture in a very modern way.

We went for a latenight drink after a movie. It was great that they took reservations for a large size group and gave us a table in the side room that was less noisy. Most of us just had something to drink. Service was great and friendly. Not too many options for dessert, but mixed drinks were interesting and good. Can't comment on the food as I didn't have any. Not too many places are open late at night in that area. Good that they are.

The restaurant wasn't open when we arrived for our reservation and there was no sign on the window, indicating why.

I made a reservation at Hamilton to celebrate my birthday with some friends before seeing a special screening of one of my all-time favorite movies at Coolidge Corner. Overall, we had a good time. There were a few issues, but I would go back. I asked for a high top table but we didn't get one. We were at a lower-height table right next to the bar that made me feel claustrophobic. Our table was also very slanted and every time I got a new drink, it was spilled all over me. We were there during a Celtics playoff game so it was so loud that we couldn't really hear each other, which may have led to some of the confusion with drink orders, but it was fun and energetic. There were tons of people there. The bar had a great beer list and a very fun atmosphere. It wasn't the best food I've ever had, but it was a good price point and we'll go back the next time we're out that way.

Fun place. A mix of American & Irish cuisine. Service was good. The manager even greeted us & thanked us for coming in. Food & drinks were good too. My only complaint is the noise level, but is was a Saturday night at a pub with sports games on the TVs, so noisiness is expected.

Very negative experience. The wait staff did their best, but we were given cold steaks, were told the wrong prices for the specials, and the music that the restaurant played was so loud that the staff could hardly hear us when we were ordering. By a pretty significant margin, this was some of the worst food we've eaten in Boston/Brookline. The prime rib was gray (and served to us cold), the mashed potatoes were gritty, and the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. Terrible experience overall.

There is NO PLACE that is better to our kids than here. They come prepared with coloring sheets, crayons, etc. They bring the kids' food out quickly and are so kind about our messes. The adult food comes out quickly and is great. Perspect spot for families.

the food was truly terrible - I had a salad with honey mustard dressing and it was just gross. their wine tasted like vinegar. I think the only safe things are beers and wings

I've been eating here every few months since they opened. The service for this visit was really bad. We were seated and no one came over for 15 minutes (the restaurant was quiet, so it's not like they were too busy). I eventually walked over to the bar to ask for help, and they sent someone over who said "no one told me you were here". That would have been sort of forgivable, especially given that food was delivered quickly, but then when it was time for the bill, our server was nowhere to be found. I asked another server for the bill but he disappeared. I eventually gave up and paid my bill at vet bar.

This restaurant confirmed our reservation numerous times including the day of, only for us to show up anf find a sign on the door indicating they closed for the weekend. If you are going to last minute decide to close your restaurant, how do you not let people with reservations know????? Do better.

They seemed to forget we were seated even though we had a res (which wasn’t needed). Took over 30 minutes to even get a drink order in. Once we ordered things went more smoothly.

Great spot with solid food and drink selection. Service felt a bit slow for how crowded it was, but overall a fun place to hit with outdoor options and lots of TVs for the sports fans.

We ordered several different meals on the brunch menu. They were all awful. In addition, the coffee was lukewarm. I had to apologize to my guests for selecting his place.

There aren't many restaurants around with a pub vibe; Hamilton's is one. The good was good but not haute cuisine, but tasty. The energy was upbeat and the service was very good--you felt attended to but no one hovering over you every ten seconds to move you along. I would go back again if I'm in the area and want a nice, reasonably priced meal and a drink.

Unfortunately our experience was not good. The service was incredibly slow and apathetic. It took us almost an hour to get our food. The restaurant was not busy.

Took 1 1/2 hours to get an order of French toast and two eggs— and they messed up the order multiple times, and messed up the bill. The music (brunch) was great though!

It was really loud inside and our table was uneven. At least our server did try to fix it for us. The tables inside are high tables which are not my favorite since I'm short. It took ages for our server to come and take our order and then quite a long time again before the food arrived. Our server was nice and apologized for the wait. At least we got our food - the table next to us had to threaten to leave before their food was finally brought to them. Our food was good (thank goodness) but I don't think I'll be in any rush to go here again. It may have been more pleasant had we sat outside. I think it's fine if you are just going for a bar atmosphere but not if you are just going for a meal.

Made reservations and brought my visiting family to brunch on Palm Sunday. Hamiltons was chosen because the bunch menu looked delicious. When we arrived we were informed that brunch was not being served. There was an apology but no explanation. We were given a standard lunch menu….no option for even breakfast (12:30). Server was obviously working very hard to keep up with customers but it was very clear the restraint was seriously understaffed. We don’t plan to return.

Upon arriving I was told that the owner had been trying to get off OpenTable for a while. It was clearly not being updated since the restaurant was full and the patio was not open but OpenTable showed full availability every 15 minutes indoors and outdoors. Having said that, the staff went out of their way to find me a table, checked in on me several times to make sure I was comfortable and the service was excellent. The steak tips were over cooked and the mashed potatoes bland, but the tiramisu was delicious.

The service here is consistently bad— taking an hour to take your order, forgetting things, taking forever, not being knowledgeable about the menu, messing up orders. I realize they get busy with trivia, but then the restaurant should hire more servers to offset the load. The food is also pretty bad and overpriced. I would stick to only wings or any cheap specials, even the fries are disappointing somehow. That being said, they host the best trivia ever and all the faults are worth it to go to the trivia. Wish the menu was better.
