    My husband and I absolutely love this restaurant, it has been a family favorite since 2017. Every time we come we always order several meats, garlic fried rice and at least 3-5 different appetizers. We have 3 kids so we always order a ton and with happy hour the price is great. Our server was amazing, he was very attentive and very kind to my kids (some servers don’t even acknowledge kids) but he was friendly and just on top of it all. Over all the food was delicious and service was a 10/10, would 100% come back to this location!

    Grill was too hot couldn’t cook properly. Food wasn’t as good as previous visits . Rice & noodles were bland .

    We had high hopes for our special Mother's Day celebration at this restaurant, choosing their multi-course meal option. Unfortunately, the service didn't meet our expectations. Despite our excitement, there were significant delays in receiving our food, leaving us feeling let down by the overall organization of the dining experience. It appeared that there were some issues with preparation, possibly exacerbated by a shortage of staff. While waiting for the main courses, we made do with drinks, myself having consumed 4 glasses of coke and some plain rice, unexpectedly filling us up. Regrettably, we had to leave before having the chance to enjoy the much-anticipated highlight of the meal, Gyu-Kaku's beef BBQ. This experience left us feeling like we had wasted both our time and money. It certainly wasn't the memorable Mother's Day experience we had hoped for.

    I’ve been to theee different gyu kaku locations across the world and this location was by far the worst experience , this was my second time going to this location to try to give it a chance but u won’t be going there again , I’d rather drive farther and go to San Mateo

    I took my GF here for date day and man was this a hit! She loved all the different options and sides! Our waiter was new so he was a bit slow but when another waiter noticed us looking for him he took right over! The drinks were bomb and portions were perfect! Will definitely be going back!

    Coming from someone who used to be a server, this was just all bad. Had a reservation, waited 30 minutes for server to take our order, it took asking 3 different servers over the course of 20 minutes to get a refill, kept making eye contact with manager who just ignored us and leisurely wiped down menus, and it seemed like they were giving their attention to the larger parties. Be prepared to fight for your life trying to flag someone down and put in a request for something as simple as a straw. It’s like we would ask for something and the server would just disappear or clock out? Food was good, but the poor service definitely ruined the experience… I noticed dinner crew was a lot more on top of their tables, thus we were willing to give our tip to them, but by then, there wasn’t much that could be salvaged. If you wanna try this out, do yourself a favor and just drive out to San Jose or Cupertino.

    went in with a reservation, but they were booked up and had to wait. they bought us sake to make up for the wait. they were super nice and friendly. the food was delicious!

    The wait staff are clearly overwhelmed: there aren't enough waiters properly to serve the volume of customers. Accordingly, I highly suggest avoiding the AYCE menu: the waiters don't have to capacity to check in often enough to make this worthwhile. Also, I highly suggest that the manager refrain from interacting with the customers. He has VERY little tact insisting to his waitstaff within our earshot that the staff encourage us to leave ASAP. The manager even had the gall to come to our table personally to inform us that we had reached our time limit and couldn't order anything further. He was rude and didn't stick around long enough for us to respond. What's worse is that he shortchanged us 25 minutes of ordering time because we sat at our table unattended to for that long because there weren't enough wait staff to help us. Do yourself a favor and go to the SF or LA locations instead, both of which have a better customer service approach.
