They only allow 6 people per table, which didn’t work for our Father’s Day dinner. One person had to sit outside and alter seats inside, it was barbaric.

Gyu Kaku never disappoints at the Burbank location. I redeemed my points from previous visits for $25 off with 2 seniors and a child and myself (no discount). The bill with tax and tip was around $150. Well worth it. We got the Ultimate All you can eat and would do the same thing every time we go. The favorite items were the Filet Minon, the Rib eye, the shrimp with mushrooms and garlic, and we got the beef tongue - which none of us have ever tried in our lives and it was pretty tasty. If you don't mind cooking your own food, you'll love this place.

The food is incredible and we always have fun cooking the meat ourselves! My hubby likes his meat a bit more rare and I let mine cook a little bit longer so we both get the temps we like. The staff is very attentive and friendly and serve everything in a timely manner. I was a bit skeptical about cooking my own food the first time we came and now it’s one of our favorite date places! It’s a fun activity and a delicious meal all rolled into one! I cannot recommend this place enough and the staff always aims to please and goes above and beyond to ensure a fantastic visit!

The food is always delicious and that’s what we enjoy the most. The service is usually really good. We always have someone really nice and attentive. Surprisingly, on this day (Super Bowl), our waitress was not very nice nor attentive. To us, she seemed new. We’ve never seen her before. Maybe she was upset that she was working super bowl Sunday.... not sure. Toward the end of our meal, she started to become nicer. But we ended up getting 3 other employees to help us during our time there because she would be gone a lot. I still love this place and still would come back.

I was very disgusted with the manager as well as the hostess for being 12 minutes late with a 15 minute window my reservation was canceled!! I was told to wait another 45 min when asked to speak with the manager Daniel Lee he walked up to me listened to my explanation that I was trying to get parking and never received a call from them to ask if I was attending and informed I’ll be canceled, he responded they have a 10 minute window and I was late and walked away from me!!! The hostess returns asking what was my decision to stay or leave and I wasn’t going to wait another 45 min for being 12 minutes late she started grinning and ignoring me. I asked what the managers name is and with a mocking attitude she responded Bob I asked bob what she said mmmm Bob Hope with the continued grin!!! I have never experienced this much unprofessional service and nasty attitude from a manager representing the restaurant. I will never go back and will leave a horrible review on yelp for people to know where they are going!!!

This location is always crowded. I wish they could expand or even open another location in downtown Burbank. I always order a la carte and find that to be the best experience and value.

Would be an all around 5 star review but the first meat they brought us was FROZEN?! I couldn't believe what I was seeing! My foodie boyfriend mentioned it to our Server, Victoria, at the end of the meal and she graciously offered us another meat but we were full and that wasn't the point. Shame on the man who presented us unseasoned meat straight from the freezer. The meats don't come out all at one time. Pop it in the microwave if it's going to taste bad anyway. At least it won't take away from the experience by being the very first grill item we set out to cook ourselves. Everything else was very delicious and Victoria was supportive of our sake fueled brunch experience in every way she could be.

This was very fun dining experience! The food was amazing! And our server was very helpful! The flame kept going out from our grill, but it wasn’t a big deal.

The food was amazingly good, even if I did cook it myself, but that was the fun part. The menu is a bit confusing but offers something for everyone. I would definitely go back again.

Good experience. I’m glad I made a reservation ahead of time because it was so busy and a lot of walk ins. Good happy hour! We all enjoyed it before New Years..

Went there Christmas Eve - there were very busy - our server was lovely! Food is always great and can’t compete for the prices. Thank you for a great evening!

They changed the menu and its more expensive and the meat isnt very good. The kids meal now includes edamame , corn & tomatoes?? Ridiculous. never again

I always love this place, this time not sure what change but we got to our table and waiting approximately 15 to 20 minutes before I got up and the lady at the front if she could send are server since no one has shown up. The lady in the front was very friendly, outside of that everything was great

Me and my wife went here for our anniversary and loved it. The food is amazing and we had great service. Will definitely be going back again!

Reserved birthday occasion, not sure if I had to specify also in writing but there was no acknowledgement for the occasion also made reservations at 8:30 and weren’t seated until about 9 because patrons at our table decided to hang out an extra 30 minutes before or after paying and staff informed us they couldn’t do anything about it (rightfully so) does not discount the disappointment the ambience wasn’t the greatest sitting in the back in view of kitchen but that’s is just personal taste the staff that waited on our table was FANTASTIC not sure I would recommend it come back to this location maybe on a weekday? Can’t fault the restaurant for the delay and ambience it’s very busy but our wait time with reservations was about the same time as non reservation guests

Good Japanese’s BBQ food. Service was ok but this place needs to put some money back into it. The menus were literally falling apart. Also the other locations have different specials which should be standard across all locations. We will be back.
