The ambiance was great, the food was amazing, but our service was quite slow. I ordered sake when we first sat down and it never arrived. Then only at the end of the meal was I able to get a refill on the water that was brought to us at the beginning before we ordered anything. I did ask a few times (each time we ordered more food). And my husband wasn’t able to get refills either. If we didn’t love spicy foods it wouldn’t have been so bad. The server was nice, but being in a back corner we were certainly an afterthought. I would try it again though

It was a great place. I loved the food! The only thing I didn’t like was the grill. It seemed like the grill was off centered and took longer to cook. It was hard to know where on the grill was hot.

We had a great time eating there. Server, Pai, was super nice! Too bad with the premium AYCE plan, you can only order one order of kalbi per person and they didn’t have any boba mochi on the premium menu which was disappointing. Overall we still were very happy and enjoyed the meal there!

This was so much fun! I’ve never grilled my own meat at a restaurant before. The food was really good although we found that the thinner cuts of meat stuck to the grill really easily making them hard to remove and we lost a decent amount of meat to the grill. The garlic shrimp were amazing and so was the duck. The 3 BBQ items lunch is such a great value. I do wish our server had explained things a little better instead of just giving us menus and then delivering our food (it would have been nice to have the ordering and grilling processes explained) although there are helpful info cards with grilling times on them.

I had a large group or about 20 ppl with a reservation and when we got there they weren’t quite ready for us other than that it was a great time once we got seated.

The server was very inattentive, and the service was lackluster. It was my co-worker's first time there. She did not explain anything to us, I burned my hand on a bowl of garlic fried rice, didn't know the bowl was hot also the garlic rice was over cooked, and had to ask another server for straws, napkins etc...she never even came to close out the bill she sent someone else.

We have horrible service. The waiter never checked on us. Never brought utensils never brought change of tongs. We didn’t get dessert because it would’ve taken too long. He didn’t even give us a pun to sign a check with.

We went for Valentine's Day. Terrible music, worst holiday special package, and this place needs to be renovated. Don’t come to this location, there are other better locations in Chicago

Quite a busy place on Fri and Sat nights. Even with reservations, had to wait about 15 minutes. Novel approach to dining where you grill your own meal. We did the set menu which is easier to order. Have to learn how to grill on own. Last time we went, only half the grill had heat. I’d say a place we would visit once a quarter for something different.

I’ve been to this location maybe 5 prior times but it was my first time back in several years. Great service and great food. I enjoy the cook it yourself Japanese/Korean BBQ concept. They’ve added value options to their menu such as complete fixed price meals for two people, three people, etc. I don’t remember these options being on the menu before and it offers simplicity and convenience at a good price. Overall good experience. My one negative observation was they have not kept up the physical aspects of their place. The wall in our booth was sticky from years of food splatter that they weren’t bothering to clean. Some of the decorative wall covering was peeling off from the walls in numerous places around our table. The obvious lack of cleanliness and maintenance is sad and a little disgusting. Both me and my partner noticed it and commented on it to each other afterwards. If we both noticed it then it’s a “thing” and management needs to fix it.

This was a great experience. We did an early dinner (4pm). The servers were nice, helpful, and friendly (we were there across a shift change). The food was great. I could see us coming back again.

The food is always so good — we always come here when visiting Chicago. I was disappointed this time as we were on the 3rd floor and the seating is sunken seats where you have to awkwardly step down under the table. Which was difficult while wearing dresses and heels.

Seated quickly and had good service, however the quality of the meat was lacking for the price. Ordered the premium cuts à la carte, but the standout dishes ended up being the shishito and spicy cucumber appetizers.

Our waiter was fantastic, but our order for the “all you can eat” was lost. Our waiter “rushed” the lost order but that caused us to have two rounds of food being delivered at the same time. So we had a lot of food to cook and eat at one time. The food was great and the atmosphere was fun. Just the one issue with the service, but he did good on checking in with us.
